This is a good, basic accomodation outside Volterra's walls. The inn is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood that's a stone's throw from the town proper. The elderly and physically infirm should be warned that a fairly arduous uphill walk is required to reach the town, but this should present no problem for folks in good walking shape. Hotel Sole took very good care of us. Francesco was our contact and he made sure that we were comfortable, set dinner reservations for us, and generally was very attentive and kind.
