Volterra was the end-point of a 48km hike in Tuscany and we found the Hotel San Lino a perfect place to rest and explore Volterra. Our room was very quiet (low season) and the food was very good. The staff were very helpful, too.

A reasonable place for a quiet stay. The pool can get a bit crowded but the room was very pleasant and the breakfast fine. It is great to be able to park inside the walls of the old town and Volterra is less pretentious than some neighbouring towns. There are also several decent places to eat in Volterra.
