We chose Cauterets for our Skiing destination as, not only is it really easy to get to from Stansted (just a quick flight to Lourdes then a bus or a 30 min taxi ride to the town) but it still retains a classic French feel, with excellent restaurants and cosy wine bars. It is lovely to find a place where... More

Stylish and wonderfully equipped appartments. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, James, Ruth and Louise. With two little children holidays can be alot of effort but our hosts did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable. Cauteret gave us tons of snow in our first two days! and even though we weren't snowboarding because of the children... More

Cauterets is a good base for walkers and cyclists. You'll find both your rest as possibilities to be active. Owners have plenty advices and maps of the environment to show you the way. They are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is modern, neat and attractive. With all modern conveniences. Free use of the washing machine. Two minutes walking distance... More

Muclares is a sweet find in the pristine town, Cauterets, in the Pyrenees. You can't beat Muclares for location, value, and easy of use. My husband and I have visited Cauterets the last three summers and plan to go back 2012. We have stayed at Muclares every time and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Louise, Ruth, and James could not... More

Such a beautiful place to stay and relax in the Pyrenees! We stayed in Viscos for 4 nights. The check in process was so easy. We had all the information we needed before we arrived. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I. It had everything we needed. Plenty of space to make ourselves at home. The view from... More

Finding a holiday destination that ticks all boxes for two adults and two teenage children can be a fairly tall order, and for us it is difficult to imagine anywhere coming closer than Mulcares in the Pyrenees. Amongst our particular wishes was to enjoy the mountain landscape, and we found a well signposted network of paths to take you as... More

Cauteret is situated at the best of the most beautuful valleys in the Pyrenees. The walks around and from the town are simply fantastic and cover all basis in terms of challenges e.g. valley walks or tacking 3000m peaks. The studio we stayed in was really nice and well kitted out the bathroom in particular was spot on. We also... More

We'd always wanted to explore this area in the summer time. After reading the many great reviews we had high expectations and were not disappointed! My husband and I stayed in Peguere apartment which was fantastic. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable with everything you might wish for in a self catering apartment. The Mulcares are very friendly and... More

The residence is beautifully and tastefully furnished. Anything one may need is provided and the Mulcares are very kind and helpful. For a relaxing and restoring holiday, Cauterets is the perfect place, quiet and peaceful, well equipped for tourism but not overpriced. More

We had a really great time staying at Mulcares. If you want a well priced flat in a great location in the mountains I don't think it can be bettered. If you are walking the advice given by the hosts and maps etc. provided are very helpful. The flat is clean comfortable and well equipped. Cauterets is a charming lively... More
