Difficult to find, unhelpful staff, [fortunately] moved without explanation or apology to an even bigger dive!! I would highly recommend not staying in Mont St Michel but enjoying the wonder of the site and swiftly moving to stay somewhere outside of the tourist hole that's been allowed to flourish outside the mount

Bad meal Dirty Bathroom ignoring Personalservice Big Name but poor guests! May Not Be for the Money. Every Near door in the same street makes their Thing better and better meal. Old furniture, broken bed, unfriendly to the foring tourists!

When I arrived at the region of Mont St. Michel I had to call the hotel for the code I needed to enter the region...by accident I was told onthe phone that I cannot be given this code because the hotel was overbooked. I was not informed beforehand!!!!!!!! So I had to go to another hotel for a night. Next... More

Not at the cordon blue end of the market, but excellent value for money, friendly and met all our needs very adequately.

This place needs a rehab. It shows its age and neglect. Reception is unmanned and you have to walk across to the restaurant to get a key. However, it is in a perfect spot to get to Mont-Ste-Michelle at a very reasonable price and has easy access to nice restaurants. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. There are nicer places to... More

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. Apologies for the capital letters but we feel that all travellers should be warned about what awaits them if they decide to stay here. Please read on for details. Following a long and gruelling drive from the midlands in England (12 hours on the road) what we... More

The first impression is olfactive -- yuck ! As one enters the room, one is met by a mouldy smell, exuded by the walls (see picture) and (as happens elsewhere) the shower curtain. Otherwise, the comfort is worthy of a French two-star hotel at a (very) reasonable price. Very little soundproofing, no limits on the volume of the TV sets.... More

I chose the Hotel St. Aubert because of its fantastic location and great price. The website map shows it to be right on the island, only steps from the abbey of Mont St. Michel. I couldn't believe the price for such a great location, but there is was, right on the Google map. Except it's not where there arrow points.... More

We had never been to Mont St. Michel, so we were unfamiliar with the lodging situation. We found this hotel as part of a website that you can book La Mere Poulard, etc., and it seemed reasonable, so we booked it. When we got there, we found that there are about 5 other hotels around it that had plenty of... More
