A friend and I used this company in September 2012. I have been waiting to cool down about the terrible experience since then but am still seething. After reading the review of a very similar experience to mine, I decided writing a review was the right thing to do. We had heard about the tidal bore for years and it... More

The staff there were so accommodating! My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and a huge bag of Russel Stover chocolates. They allowed us to check in super early at no extra charge. We planned to go rafting but last minute changed our mind and they were really good about it!... More

The cottages are rustic but passable. The guide was not customer service oriented. He kept slamming the boat into the waves to make it bumpier than it was, which was unpleasant. Cut and bruised myself. He also filled the boat up to the top with water, which was unnecessary and unpleasant. Front desk is run by young kids--not well attended.

My wife and I made a point of doing tidal bore rafting on our honeymoon. We had a full zodiac of 8 adults and an experienced guide. If you go and Dave H. is working, he will show you a heck of a good time. He joked around with us and with other guides in the zodiacs. He took us... More

My family and I were on holiday from Alberta and we chose to do the Tidal Bore Rafting with this company and what a bad decision that was! From the moment we walked in, we had a couple questions at the front desk and the girls working there were very unprofessional and unhelpful. They seemed to care less about our... More

We went on the two hour rafting trip and it was the highlight of our trip. Loved the whole trip from the sinking sands of the sand bar to the rafting of the tide waves to the mudsliding. The only major problem was that it was not long enough. We were only at the sandbar for about 10 minutes and... More

I stayed in a one bedroom cottage with my adult children. We used a cot cheerfully provided by the staff upon our late evening arrival. We cooked dinner on the grill at the cottage and had a comfortable night (I used the foldout couch in the livingroom, which was acceptably comfortable) sleep on the peaceful grounds of the park. We... More

We did enjoy a 4 hour raft trip on one of the extreme high tides. It is much different than traditional white water rafting and a lot of fun. This is great for families with kids/teens. They will really enjoy it. The staff at the office was nice, enjoyed a snack at their little restaurant overlooking the river and our... More

I did not stay at the Cottages...But took family to the tidal bore rafting park to ride the bore. I have lived in Nova Scotia my entire life...seen the tidal bore from afar, but rafting it was something I will NEVER forget, it was so amazing!! We found out about this hotel at the last minute and stayed one night. I wish we could have stayed longer but couldn't because we had a plane to catch. We rented one of the cabins. It was lovely, meticulously maintained, and well stocked with gear if you plan on a longer stay. The staff are a pleasure to deal... More
