Beamish Hall definitely has the wow factor. Turning into the driveway from the main road your first view is of the magnificent building and the stunning grounds. The hotel has a quaint entrance and warm & friendly reception staff. Our deluxe room came with fantastic views across the gardens and a jacuzzi bath. The corridors are creaky and the floors... More

Stayed here for a wedding this weekend. Unfortunately paid in full on check-in as requested to do before we saw the room. It was booked as a double which according to the staff it was. Firstly it featured a 3/4 sized bed, not a double. Then it was an "antique". They were obviously proud of this antique bed, but I... More

We have just spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is convenient for us as it is just a few minutes from our family. We like the hotel, and always upgrade to get a really nice room. We had a ground floor room and it was very quiet. Some people had grumbled about noise from a wedding party, but we... More

Just been on our 2nd visit to Hotel.....and again it was Fabulous. Had Premium Double room which was lovely...in fact we requested the same room as we'd had in January which the hotel arranged. The food at The Stables was superb, and we were very well looked after. The food tasted good and was presented well. Breakfast in the hotel... More

Impresive country house set in beautiful grounds a few minutes from Beamish Museum. The Classic room we had was small and the bedroom furniture too large for the room and very tired. The beds were uncomfortable and the sash windows very draughty. Breakfast was served in a large dining room with good views over open countryside, the breakfast choice was... More

Impressive hotel set in historic manor house. Staff couldnt do enough for us and we felt very welcome. Room not very big and no view out of window, bed not very comfy, large bathroom with bath as well as shower and toiletries provided. Got room on special offer so was happy but wouldnt have paid the full price of £179... More

My daughter booked a short break at the hotel and tickets for the Beamish Museum as a Christmas present for my husband and I. On arrival we were given a friendly and helpful greeting. We were in a classic room which, although on the small side, was perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay. It was beautifully furnished and had a... More

Stayed here for a wedding. Hotel is great except for the bedrooms. We upgraded to a deluxe room and although very spacious and furniture was in keeping with the whole Beamish period experience the matress was really quite uncomfortable. Might as well have been on the bed since the 1930s for all the support it gave. Aslo felt it could... More
