The Metropol was closed for about 1 year and has now re-opened under new management. Unfortunately they have done absolutely nothing to the hotel, so all my earlier comments (31 Mar 2011) remain true - a good hotel that could be great. Such a missed opportunity. The staff however are great!

The location is excellent, right on Bodensee. All rooms have a wonderful lake view. The rooms are very clean and generally well kept, but very dated. It looks like nothing has been touched since the 1970s! Despite this everything works and is in good condition (apart from a slighly worn carpet).
