Stayed 2 nights on round train trip of Switzerland. Chose this hotel from reviews on htis site. Hotel is a lovely older building but nicely renovated inside. Big minus is no kettle in room - no home made coffee or tea or worse.. cup of soup, room clean and comfortable and price very reasonable. more

A magnificent stay in the Swiss alps in this hotel. Location is good for getting around the area, within 15-30 min drive of a large number of resorts, and a lot calmer, more relaxed and thousands of times more affordable than staying at busy Zermatt or similar. Also, very easy to get around everywhere by train. The hotel is a... more

We (my husband, son and I) stayed here for one night. The staff were friendly, and spoke English adequately. The breakfast was fine, and the location good. Flat short walk from the train station. It is about 2 streets over from the main street, easy strolling. We had a junior suite, which was up in the roof, and enormous. There... more

We were very impressed by this hotel during our one week stay. It is ideally situated in the very pleasant town of Brig and a short walk from the station. The food and service were excellent and all of the staff were very attentive. We chose a half board option, which was very competitive and were never disappointed with the menu.... more

I travelled on my own, but within a group to this hotel for New Year. Occupying a single room I paid an extra £95. The room was small and dull, and only enough space for one small bed, so why the supplement? I was not taking a double room and so the hotel losing money. Although in their list of... more

We stayed here for one night before taking the Glacier express to Chur. The penthouse suite had 4 beds in 2 sections, with separate TVs and very good cable service(ours was a sofa bed but quite comfortable) and the lift opened directly into the room (secure). For wheelchair access the shower was huge (good to wash recalcitrant children). Service was... more

This hotel is rather unique: Get a room on Floor 4 and you've won the Lottery; Floors 3,2,1 and you've lost the mortgage on the 2.10pm at Ascot. So I guess all the rave reviews are from Floor 4 guests because the rest of the rooms in this hotel are DREADFUL. Beware folks. more

A thumbs up

The hotel is a central location for the railway station. Although a short walk if you have luggage think about taking a taxi. The staff are friendly and helpful and most spoke English. The food is excellent although the set menu is better value for money. more

We stayed in the Pent Suite of the Ambassador Hotel in Brig for one night before catching the Glacier Express up to Zermatt. The hotel is very conveniently located only a 5min walk from the bahnhoff/trainstation, and also a short walk to everything you'd need in Brig (shopping/restaurants, old town, pharmacy, post etc etc). We found our room to be... more
