The bedrooms are a decent size but the furniture is 70s style pine that is substance over style. Everything is very brown and more like a university halls of residence than a 4 star hotel. The beds bizarrely fold down from a wall unit and are actually sofa beds. There is no such thing as a double bed, instead the... More

The restaurant is typically swiss with very nice decoration and good service. The food was great and quite some choice in case you don't want to eat to heavy. I had one time the chicken which was very good but not a huge portion and one time the ferelle which was very very good. I recommend highly this restaurant.

We came for a weekend ski trip. Our rooms were really good sizes with separate bedrooms for the children. One of the rooms we had stairs up to the bedrooms and a great living space downstairs so plenty of space for large family's Staff were very helpful and very friendly. I'm a coeliac, the kitchen staff knew all about Gluten... More

Background:- I wanted to go for a 5 day skiing trip from Manchester with my pregnant partner. She obviously wasnt skiing so we wanted to be somewhere lovely with a relaxed journey from Manchester. Klosters fitted the bill perfectly. We flew from Manchester to Zurich and got the train to Klosters (lovely scenic journey with fantastic Swiss Air and Swiss... More

Flew out from Gatwick on the 6:30 flight then train to Klosters from Zurich - arrived at the hotel by midday - rooms were all ready for us (even though we were not supposed to check in until 4) - this gave us chance to change into ski gear and get onto the slopes. Main cable car is about a... More

Rooms are dated like a lot in Switzerland. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sauna is nice. Breakfast good. Dinner was excellent. I'd stay again.

We stayed 3 nights at the Steinbock in a south side double room with a balcony. It's a typical skiing hotel: not luxurious, but comfortable and cosy and spotlessly clean. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was modern and well-maintained. It had plenty of storage, but could do with a robe hook in the bathroom. We had... More

Just had a week at this hotel, not really any major complaints however it's definitely not a 4 star, more like a 3 star. Rooms haven't been updated since the early 80's and there were some odd locked cupboards dotted around the room - one was for the use of the kitchen (a two ringed cooktop with absolutely no utensils,... I have been a guest of Silvia Barblan's each year for the past fifteen years. I remember the very first day that my friend John and I arrived at Steinbock to a wonderful greeting by Sivlia and her two daughters, Claudia and Ladina. Through the years they have been the most wonderful friends that one could imagine, even though we... More

Passed this hotel on the way in to Klosters before calling in at the Tourist Office to see what was available. Delighted to find this was 160CHF per room per night. We were shown a wonderful room which was really a suite on 2 floors, with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a lounge and even its own fireplace! This was more... More
