We were very impressed with the hotel and the service from the staff. The room was very comfortable, with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The infinity pool was very nice, although it was a bit breezy while we were there. We only stayed two nights. The hotel is very family oriented, especially on the weekends. The view from the... More

This is a mid-level hotel that uses its assets to advantage. Off the beaten tourist track, a lot of middle-class Puerto Ricans stay here with their families. It is on the beach, which is mostly deserted, nice pool and great staff. Do not expect the Ritz. This is an inexpensive hotel that has older buildings. But if you want peace... More

Like a Motel 6 with a restaurant and a pool. Nice location due to being on a beautful beach, but surrounding town and immediate area have little to offer tourists. Room: so-so mattress, old and cheap beddings, only two small towels, no toilet paper on the first night, bugs (roaches), no screen. Resturant: no fresh seafood, other food tasted like... More

The Mauna Caribe Parador, now officially part of the Tropical Inns company (and probably advertised as such) is somewhat hard to find as it's on little used Hwy 901 between Maunabo and Yabucoa, on the eastern shore of Puerto Rico. The parador is quite large with a number of individual casitas spread out over the property. There's an outdoor reception... More

Truly a piece of heaven. Not a 4 or 5 star but that's not what we want. Beautiful pool, beach with absolutely no crowds and lots of piece and quiet. Our room faced the beach. Sleep to the sound of waves on the beach. Lots of local families stay here with just a few internationals. Food was ok. Restaurant &... More

We have chosen this hotel because it was located in less touristy area. After reading a few reviews and contacting some of the people who stayed there previously, we were very happy with our selection. There were not too many people there, which meant that the pool was not crowded. The accommodation is basic, but good value for money. The... More

I Stay there for 2 nights is small but is great to have an all inclusive in Puerto Rico. The food was great, the personnel was very nice, they have personnel all the time there! the pool is small but is ok for a Parador! I love that they put outside the restaurant a snack bar after lunch with cakes,... More

During my first trip to PR, I wanted to get out of San Juan, and this was the perfect place to go. After spending the perfect day in El Yunque, we made a 1 hour drive to the hotel. The pool was awesome & we really liked the layout of the hotel rooms. The nearby beach had large waves that... More

We loved our overnight stay in Mauna Caribe, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of busy San Juan. It has a beautiful beach with not too many tourists, so you get to enjoy it mostly by yourself. The infinity pool is great and close to the bar with super tasty cocktails. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast in their restaurant. All... More
