What a lovely friendly pub, we were staying locally and found the pub on a walk. It had real ales and log fires and really friendly staff who chatted about local attractions and provided bar nibbles. Would recommend a visit if you are in the area. Never got a chance to sample the menu but it smelt and looked lovely.

January day in deep snow. Walked across the nearby hills and aimed for 12 o' clock short break - but stayed 2 hours! Welcoming fires, staff and retriever persuaded our group to sample beer and chasers or soft drinks. Walk was voted 10 out of 10 - cosy pub contributed to the vote.
