Have just had a one night stay at the Woolly Sheep. A very friendly welcome, taken straight to our room ( No. 7)which was located at the front of the pub overlooking the Main Street. The room was extremely comfortable with everything you require. No noise from the traffic outside and minimum noise from the bar downstairs, it certainly did... More

We had some concerns about possible noise from the bar (as expressed in other reviews here) and took the precaution of checking in advance where our room would be. In fact it was on the upper floor and noise wasn't an issue at all. Obviously I cannot comment on the rooms on the floor above the bar. The room was... More

We've just returned from a family celebration at the Woolly Sheep where 10 of us stayed for 2 nights to celebrate an 80th spending the birthday on a Pennine Cruisers barge on the local canal. So we pretty much took over the B&B for the weekend. We enjoyed the family room, Rm 1, which is much more spacious than some... More

Stayed here overnight during may bank holiday. Pub itself is great, good selection of drinks and food is delicious, especially the Sunday roasts - really good value - definitely recommend the Yorkshire puds!! Staff are super friendly, and go the extra mile. We stayed in room 6, we were told it was noisy and yes it was, but what do... More

Me and my wife booked to stay at the wooly sheep inn, we were excited due to not having a break for months. We've previously visited the inn, as a day out and we were satisfied with the service that was given. Yesterday we got to the inn, after a 60mile journey, we just wanted to get into our room... More

Its a real shame, the WoolySheep is a great pub and has good food, but its B&B business really lets it down. Our room was on the floor directly above the bar and the front door and consequently was extrememly noisy, they were serving beer til 1 am so the noise didn't die down until around 1:30 am. In addition... More

Hi. Thankyou for taking the time to write your comments, all reviews are taken aboard and it seems that, in this instance, your stay was just not acceptable. We appreciate your honesty with regards the food, beer and higher rating for service as your B & B experience could easily have tarnished your overall report. Firstly, with regards to the... More

Visited the Woolly Sheep a couple of times for lunch now, the first a Sunday with the mother in law and then the 2 of us one Monday lunch time. Both occasions the dining area was very busy but we managed to get a table. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Food great and a very good choice.... More

Me and wife were booked in for a 2 night stay for my birthday. All started well staff very helpful, room small but clean and beer fine. Then the music and crowd in the bar went on to 2am .... not warned that room 6 had to put up with this. Birthday spoiled. Booked out in the morning. On booking... More

Hi Andrew, We are really sorry to hear about your stay here at the Woolly and upset to learn that it ruined your birthday. This is not acceptable. We try to ensure that all rooms booked in are warned that there may be noise when staying at weekends, however, this seems to have been overlooked in this instance and I... More

We stayed a night in Skipton to extend our weekend at Aysgarth Falls and chose the Woolly Sheep based on reviews. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with very good food and fabulous beers. Would stay there again.

My husband booked a one night stay here and it was wonderful. Such a friendly, clean inn with the added bonus of a restaurant serving first class food. Rooms are on the small size but have everything you could need and lovely comfy bed. Cannot rate this place highly enough will recommend to everyone. Well done to all at The... More

Wow! What a lovely review, it's comments such as these that make myself and the team proud of what we achieve! Most importantly, we want to offer our customers a warm and friendly welcome so appreciate the your recognition of this. Our inn isn't overly large, but we try to build on this through offering quality beds, cleanliness, added extras... More
