Many thanks for your glowing review. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the quirky extras at The Bath Arms too. I agree we are perfectly situated close to the safari park, sometimes you can hear the lions roar from the hotel. We look forward to hosting you again very soon. Kind Regards John Crompton More

My partner and I really love this place. It’s the closest thing to real peace and tranquillity that we’ve come across and we just keep on coming back for more – there’s really something about the whole ambience of the place that makes one feel completely at peace. Rooms are beautifully and contemporaneously designed and furnished (magnificently comfy beds!), the... More

We LOVED Bath Arms. The location, the serenity, the gardens, the lack of phone signal - it is everything we want from a countryside retreat. The staff were friendly and attentive, and couldn't do enought for us, and the food is significantly underpriced for the quality and service you get. We ate in the restaurant the first evening, and enjoyed... More

Stayed there on our recent visit to Longleat Safari Park. The room was really good size, very quirky, but met with our expectations and the 4 poster bed was awesome. The food was superb and the staff looked after really well. I had the sirloin beef - with the mrs going for the duck. Both very impressive. Breakfast was delayed... More

Thank you for such a glowing recommendation about The Bath Arms, great news to read that you enjoyed your break with us. Our breakfasts are popular and the delay you experienced is something we neatly sidestep on a normal basis – thanks for bearing with us that day! Kind regards Graham Mehta, House Manager More

Weren't just one night here and were using as a stop over. On our return journey from Devon to Suffolk, my partner was born in Frome so it was also a chance to do a bit of a catchup on things. We had dinner out with a cousin so I can't comment on the food, it was odd as we... More

There's not much more to add to the review from RemyVidal below. We too had been looking forward to a meal here with family who all travelled some distance to get there. The service was ok, a bit hit and miss really with some staff looking a bit lost or disinterested. We were a large party sat in the main... More

I’m really sorry to hear you didn't have a more positive experience with us – we're proud of our 2 AA rosettes at The Bath Arms and to have our standards slip as they appear to have done during your visit is really disappointing. I hope we can change your mind if you choose to come again for lunch or... More

Drove for an hour today from the wrong side of Salisbury for a special meal with the family at the Bath Arms. Had researched the possible venue in great length and been looking forward to it all week. Based on personal recommendation, an article in the Sunday Times and reviews below, I felt very confident this wasn't going to be... More

My apologies for the poor service and quality of food you received on your visit to The Bath Arms. The portion sizes are carefully controlled and the head chef was at the helm of the kitchen that day so I have discussed this and the effect it had on your experience at length with him. We hope to have the... More

We'd wanted to go to Longleat for a while, so when we saw a deal for the Bath Arms, we jumped at it - and we didn't regret it. The Bath Arms is set in beautiful countryside (even in March), and the drive through the Longleat estate to get there was lovely. We stayed in the Hummingbird room, which was... More

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay even if the weather was unfortunately out of season. This is certainly a very beautiful part of the country and well worth a return visit in the summer. We look forward to welcoming you back to us. More

Stayed in the Peacock themed room which was lovely - huge wooden bed beautifully decorated room, big roll top bath in bathroom. Food was great - the staff were very friendly. Would love to visit in the summer to enjoy the garden.

The Bath Arms is a unique hotel, located on Lord Bath’s magnificent Longleat Estate in the charming Wiltshire village of Horningsham. We aspire to offer quirky luxury accommodation. The rooms are nothing if not original and a little unconventional. While simple and beautifully cooked, British locally sourced food is our culinary philosophy. Our beers come from local breweries, we rear our own pigs. If our vegetables are not grown on site, they are sourced within a 50 mile radius. ... more   less
