Last minute break at the end of half term. Loved the extra touches, fresh flowers and tea and coffee on arrival. Peveril cottage small but ok for a couple of nights, very cosy and clean, could not fault anything. It was lovely waking to 8 inches of snow on sunday morning. Enjoyed the swimming pool and the games room. Have... more

We were celebrating a 70th birthday with extended family including 6 children between 9 months and 10years. We booked 2 cottages, one with the facility for us all to eat together. The cottages were attractive, warm, comfortable and immaculately clean. The facilities were excellent. There were lovely riverside walks from the house and the swimming pool and games room were much enjoyed... more

We stayed at Haddon Grove Cottages for Christmas, really nice cottages with all amenities, but FREEZING cold.it was minus 8 outside, one heater in our cottage was broken, and we never got the temperature above 14 in the main room. And to cap it all, when we got home we found they had billed us for £90 extra electricity that... more

We include in our prices resonable heating and electricity costs which work out at around 13 hours per day at around 21 degrees. We have an environmental policy to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible and this includes low energy lighting across the whole site, an air source heat pump for the swimming pool, efficient electrical heating in...

There was eight of us all together staying in the Farmhouse at Haddon Grove. We all thought it was superb - very clean and very comfortable.....the site itself is a lovely picturesque setting. The pool was used every day by the children. The owners Louise and James were very nice and very helpful if needed. Only three miles from Bakewell... more

This is our smallest cottage which has a feature spiral staircase and is cosy for 2 people. It is also our cheapest and priced for its size! Since this guest visited, the cottage has had new solid wood furniture and a newly-fitted bathroom with WC, basin and bath with shower over

Chatsworth cottage exactly as described; spotlessly clean, lovely furnishings and very welcoming with biscuits, chocolate for son, fresh flowers and even pint of milk in fridge. Lovely location, nice to have pool and leisure facilities on site and great free use of dvd's. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay (a bit more of the sun would have been even nicer!). Definitely go... more

Our daughter was getting married locally and relatives gathered from different countries. for several days. Haddon Grove was the perfect set-up for such a large family gathering- allowing us to put together big meals and socialise but also to go off and have quiet time in our four different cottages. It was like living in the same neighbourhood for a... more

We were very impressed with the standard of homely touches provided with 'extras' e.g. pump soaps, hand towel in the bathroom, a chocolate frog in the welcome pack as it was realised that we had one (or more) small children with us. The properties (we took two) were spotlessly clean and even early arrivals were made to feel welcome. There... more

The cottage, site and location far exceeded our expectations. Ideal for cycling and walking and enjoying nearby Bakewell. Lovely attention to detail within the cottage and grounds. Smashing pool and games room with loads of leaflets and ideas for things to do. Highly recommended!!! more

I can't believe that I managed to find a venue that pleased 25 extended family members (and 3 dogs) aged 18months to 75 years for mum's 70th birthday celebrations! The main farmhouse is beautifully appointed and the perfect "hub" for a large party. The smaller properties on the complex gave everyone the space and comfort to escape to. The "oldies"... more
