My husband and I had a really wonderful stay at Brigown B&B for two nights. We loved the location, set in a quiet spot outside of the center of Ballina on the River Moy. Our room had a view of the river and of the Belleek Woods. Marjorie greeted us warmly and had chocolate brownies and tea waiting for us... More

Marjorie gave us a really warm welcome. The rooms were clean and spacious and the food was really great! We loved our stay and would highly recommend Brigown as an excellent B&B to anybody with a great value for money.

Brigown was billed as a cookery school B & B. Not so. The owner teaches cookery classes. Her breads and cakes were lovely, but her scrambled egg left a lot to be desired! Would have preferred cooked tomatoes, rather than raw. Salt was solidified in the cellar. What was with the cooker in the dining room? The decour is dated... More

Brigown B&B enjoys an elevated site overlooking the River Moy estuary, five minutes drive from Ballina town, Co. Mayo. On the other side of the estuary are the deciduous woods and river walks in the grounds of ancient Belleek castle, a very worthwhile visit and very popular and inviting. Ten minutes drive North lies the beautiful and spacious beach of... More

Marjorie and her B&B are both wonderful. She's a delightful lady, so friendly and chatty. Just the right personality for running such a business. I was amazed at her attention to detail, evident throughout the house but especially in the presentation of her delicious food. We had an amazing weekend and the next time we're in Ballina, we'll definitely stay... More

WOW, Marjorie knows food. If you stay at Brigown you can expect to be warmly welcomed and expect to have the best breakfast in Ireland. The room was spacious and comfortable, the view from the breakfast room lovely. If you want to stay where you feel comfortable and extremely welcome. You can look no further than Marjory's lovely home.

Truly, I have dined at the table of the Gods. Simple ingredients served with passion and flair. Marjorie has an understanding of food that comes straight from the heart. Other cooking establishments will serve food that will nourish the body, but breakfast from Marjorie's table will nourish the soul!!. I stayed three days and had different breakfast every day. Hold on to your hats. This B&B's owner, Marjorie, runs an esteemed cookery school, so you're in for a breakfast fit for a king. Unusual, scrumptious and bountiful offerings in addition to traditional Irish fare, prepared to perfection and served with style. Brigown B&B sits in a really pretty setting overlooking the River Moy. Lovely accommodation -- clean, comfy and... More
