5 stars all the way. This is our second visit to Castlemartyr but our first to the lodges. Everything from our booking with Natural Retreats to our arrival and dealing with Gareth the lodge Manager was seamless. The lodges are really spacious and luxurious and the estate has lots of activities for children - beautiful walks, lovely playground and play... More

Stayed in one of the 2 bed lodges for a week at Easter. The lodges are very nice. Lovely welcome basket on arrival. The facilities in the hotel were very good. The pool is fantastic, along with the gym and thermal suite. My wife enjoyed a treatment in the spa. We had a 2 and a half year old with... More

We rented 3 of the lodges and were horrified to find they were seriously sub-standard, broken chairs, unpainted ceiling repairs, TV not working, Toilet seat broken, wooden floor destroyed by a previous leak, broken kitchen presses - nothing like the photos. I intend to advise Bord Failte. On top of this the hotel did not have the kids club running... More

We stayed for a week in the lodges at Castlemartyr. The shower was broken so I asked the super friendly staff to get it fixed. Saturday "No problem, I'll inform maintenance" Sunday "Sorry maintenance don't work the weekend."  Monday "Very sorry, blah, blah, new shower head on the way, blah de blah" Tuesday - still no shower.  The shower stayed... lodges are simply modern houses, very spacious, well equipped, very comfortable. Great accommodation for a family. Our kids loved the house, the space outside and inside. Very peaceful surroundings. Welcoming basket with wine, fresh bread, jam and milk was a great touch. Gareth(lodges manager) was very helpful and friendly. We used hotel's swimming pool every day, it was really nice... More

Loved the lodges second time to stay there. Excellent welcome pack and so nice to arrive into a warm house on a cold evening. Staff in natural retreats and in the hotel are extremely accommodating and nothing is a problem. Love the setting hope to be back! No hesitation in reccomending the place. Very child friendly also.

Just back from a family wedding in Castlemartyr We have two small children so we decided to go self-catering and stayed in a mews house adjacent to the hotel, this gave us use of all the hotel facilities but allowed us to be relaxed about mealtimes and noisy kids! The setting of the Resort is spectacular, it is located in... More

I have just come back from staying in the lodges in Castlemartr, we got a taxi from the airport, cost 65 euro, so first tip is if you are arriving by plane is to arrange with the hotel to pick you up, they have an arrangement with a company and it only costs 45 euro and they pick you up... More

Stayed for 3 nights in the lodges. Very modern and bedrooms as good as the hotel, tioletries etc. Great value in this exceptional 5 star hotel. It was very quiet - don't think they advertise their existence!!! The hotel facilities are very good - priced accordingly, dinner @ about €65 - but food quality v. good. Will be returning as... More

Great staff, good hotel facilities - terrible finishing in the houses. The houses are well kitted out, best furnishings and white goods. It's a terrible pity that the finishes don't match the standard of furnishings. Access to the spa/gym in the Capella Hotel was free and included in our stay. The staff and facilities in the hotel were second to... More
