We arrived without reservations and after touring the hotel restaurant with its stained carpet and the entry hall with its stained chairs, were told by the surly girl at the desk that they ad two rooms in the main building and two in the out-buildings. Without asking which we preferred, she ushered us to two substandard rooms in a dank... More

For anyone travelling to Southern Ireland a visit to the Cashel Palace Hotel in Co. Tipperary would add something special to the trip! It reeks of old world charm but without the twee often associated with that image. Rooms are beautifully decorated and spotless. We had a lovely spacious bathroom, tiled in marble. The staff especially Denis in the cellar... More

Our initial impressions were not good but then we don't expect perfection everywhere. Our room was very tired and worn, and really expensive for what it was but the location was good so we didn't focus on the negatives and went out to enjoy our time in the surrounding area - don't remember the name but there was a fabulous... I knew this hotel a good few years ago. It had great staff back then and continues with great staff today. Whether you are having a good dinner, lunch or just a great roast beef sandwich and a pint of Guinness you can be assured of service in the old fashioned manner and with a witty quip if the occasion... From the moment we checked in, we were made to feel as though we were part of the palace and were treated like royalty. A special thanks to Claire for her wonderful, friendly, humorous and kind service during dinner. The hotel was SPOTLESS. Staff were so pleasant. The gardens are beautiful, a pity we weren't there during the summer when... More

Night away in a four Star hotel without kids , so we were really looking forward to it. looked nice as we drove in, sun shining with Rock of Cashel almost in the back garden. Reception was nice. Big open fire, big sofas. All was looking good... Then we were escorted to our mews lodgings and we simply could not... More

As I read some of the other reviews on TA, I can see that there are some great rooms available at this classic manor house hotel- but we didn't get one. On our road trip through Ireland, we decided to stop off and visit Rock of Cashel and spend the night. Maybe if we would have booked earlier we would... More

Lovely room in the mews but the rest of the hotel was mediocre - faded grandeur, smoky fireplaces, asked for bacon, egg and sausage for breakfast - got that, literally one of each! Stayed there as part of a special offer - not worth full price.

My husband and I stayed in the Cashel Palace on a beautiful cold, but sunny evening in April. We had booked a one night stay which was a deal we found on the internet. When we arrived, a friendly receptionist and porter greeted us. We had a lovely room in the attic of the house, lovely exposed beams and full of... More

We stayed two nights in the beautiful Cashel Palace Hotel in a Junior Suites and we would strongly recommend a stay here, particularly to any tourists who want a flavour of Ireland, it's history and it's hospitality. The building and its environs are exceptional and reflect the national treasures and history that surround them. Food was mixed and breakfast could... More
