Rathmullan House proved to be a very relaxing venue and I'd have to think one of the finer country houses in all of Donegal. It is easy to see why Rathmullan has received so many top awards. We found our room, which was a 'superior', to be very spacious and included a small balcony which we really appreciated. The bathroom... More

We really enjoyed staying here. Our room was very nice and there are many lounges downstairs to sit and enjoy. we had great weather while we were there and really enjoyed taking tea on the lawns. Dinners were very good, we ate there both nights. The town is a bit remote, but lovely. There was a beach in front of... More

Had a great 3 night here in late April, very impressed after a tour or Northern Ireland to wash up here. Sadly my arrival was just after a major weekend wedding (arriving the Sunday lunchtime) and the building + staff seemed a bit battle-worn from that overwhelming experience. Some of the party were staying over, and in a perfect world... More

My wife and I travalled up to avail of the beauty of Donegal and Lough Swilly in the incomparable Rathmullan House. We were accompanied by "Hitch" our 14 year old Cairn Terrier and I can honestly say the three of us had a wonderful relaxing time. Hitch was so relaxed he didn't even bother chasing the local rabbits though like... More

Had lunch here with family . The food was beautiful served by genuinely friendly staff and reasonably priced. The ambience inside is super a colonial feel with a hint of North Africa . The view of the gardens through the French windows is as wonderful as the seats are comfortable. There are plenty of individual tables outside on the lawn... More

Thank you for your feedback. That's great news to hear you enjoyed the lunch. Our walled garden provides many of the garnishes that accompany our main courses in the restaurant. We hope to see you back again soon. Michael More

I stayed in Rathmullan House last August for 5 nights. I had an amazing room with a bathtub and spacious shower. The complimentary homemade cookies in the room were gorgeous. As for the food, simply beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and warm. Felt like a home form home. Although I was there in August the evenings were cold outside... More

First class family hotel. I have visited infrequently for almost forty years. Beautiful building with clever more modern extensions of restaurant, rooms and pool. Excellent food, local produce and even vegetables from the walled garden. Lovely beach.

What a great place, a lovely warm welcome, great room, lovely pool, great food and the staff were so friendly. We had a room in the new wing a bit of a trek but worth it. Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. The lack of foliage on the tree's this time of year really increasing the views of the lough. In the restaurant the waiting staff are designated to serve specific courses as opposed to specific tables. This does mean different servers but we hope it... More
