4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2013 NEW

Stayed here two weeks ago. Barberstown is in a good location for visiting Maynooth - 5 mins by car. We stayed on a Monday so, the old part of the house was closed - (old part is really lovely). We had a room on the ground floor - no view! - near road, but actually, we could hear nothing -... More

Hotel is very pleasant, well located with great views and excellent staff. Lunch menu is restricted to the same as the dinner menu but good quality. Only 30 mins to the airport or 20 mins to Dublin centre. I would definitely stay again.

We attended a wedding and although the function room was lovely and the food was fantastic (the best wedding food I'd ever had) the service just wasn't there. Some of the staff looked bored and almost annoyed at having to be there. I wouldn't normally let the service annoy me, but one woman behind the bar was so sour the... More

My Husband and I stayed here for 1 night recently. It was a perfect setting for a romantic night away. Excellent staff service, room was amazing and very comfortable and the food was great. Whilst it is a bit pricey for 1 night, it was worth it just to stay in a Four Poster bed, which is a must. I... More

Stayed whilst attending a wedding reception here so can only comment on what my experience of that was after only 1 nights stay. First of all the prices are not to everyone's affordability thus will put people off.. but you will get back what you pay for they say... although you won't find a kettle in your room well we... What a wonderful experience we had at this hotel. We were guests at a wedding and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I would love to go back to this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights in April 2013. It was very easy to find the castle at the far side of Straffan from the motorway. As soon as we entered the hotel all the staff were so friendly. The check in was very quick and we were shown to our room. The room was lovely and warm with a... More

Stayed here last weekend and was blown away by the entire experience. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient, food was second to none and the entire weekend was a pure joy. Beautiful rooms, huge bathrooms. One small fault - no hospitality tray in bedrooms and I love an early cuppa....

I attended my brother's wedding recently at Barberstown and I was really looking for to treating myself so my husband and I booked in for a 2 night stay. Our first impressions of this hotel were very good. The reception staff were excellent and the room was lovely with a four poster bed. It was a late check in and... More
