Fantastic, friendly service from Doreen and David. Their enthusiasm for the guests is wonderful. If it is available, request the master suite. This is the room shown in their Trip Advisor home page. When we return to Ballybunion, this is where we'll stay for sure!

A great guesthouse, with a cosy family feel. The couple that own the place were lovely and friendly, and could not do enough to help us. The location is 15 min walk outside the town, but again the couple provided taxi numbers, and other handy advice about things to do in the area. All in all a great place, and... More

I stayed on a golf trip to Bally, and what a wonderful place. The Walsh family is very welcoming and accommodating to any needs. The breakfast was outstanding, with an actual menu instead of your common continental buffet. The view was gorgeous, and the room had everything you need for a holiday getaway. 5 stars

We arrived late one evening to a very cheery welcome by David Walsh who immediately arranged a caddy for my husband's golf match scheduled for 7 am the next morning, even at the lateness of the hour. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was the nicest one we found in any B & B 's we stayed in--even had... I can only reiterate what the other posters have said. We had a wonderful welcome; the room was very clean, comfortable and beautiful; the bathroom luxurious with soft towels; and the breakfast was delicious. David even booked us in in town for dinner as last night the restaurant we had been recommended at our last stay was full and we... More

We felt the best part of our trip to Ireland was the wonderful friendly people. David and Doreen were very helpful in getting us on Ballybunion when it was booked up. The rooms were first class and we loved our stay there. I would recommend the place to anyone going to Ireland

Our good fortune that all Listowel rooms were booked during our visit to County Kerry causing us to "settle" for The Tides Guesthouse in Ballybunion. We spent three wonderful nights in the mini suite that was the highlight of our southwest Ireland visit. David and Doreen made us feel perfectly at home. David personally escorted and coached my attempt to... More

When you are in Ballybunion for a round of golf, you should stay at the Tides Guest House. Nice and clean room and a big Irish breakfast. David and Doreen are very friendly and helpfull. It is a little out of town, but then again, the town really is little.

My husband, adult son and I stayed here in August 2012 while on a 10 day visit to the Emerald Isle. We've traveled all over Ireland during 6-7 trips there over 20 years or so and this property was the best we've ever stayed at. The location was great for our stop in Ballbunion. The guest rooms and common areas... More
