Although it was just a short stay at Dromoland I wish I could have stayed longer. First, it's a castle which, how awesome is it to say you slept in a castle, right? Second, the grounds are amazing. It's right on the golf course and its absolutely beautiful scenery. Third, the rooms are really nice! Fourth, the food was great.... More

We had a girls trip travelling around Europe. And Dromoland Castle was our one stop to relaxation! We could not have been more happy! This was everything we wanted, and so much more. Every single aspect of this hotel is a 5 star hotel. IT is gorgeous yes, however their service is also amazing. We wanted to have a picnic... More

Deluxe Rooms overlooking lake have a very nice view and are spacious. Beds are very comfortable. Large, spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is delicious, with much to choose from. The main restaurant is rather expensive, so we did not have dinner here. Lunch at the Golf Club restaurant was very good. There are rowboats available on the lake; however, they were filled... More

My friends and I arrived at Dromoland Castle at the end of our annual golf outing on our way back to nearby Shannon for our flights home. We were soon glad we had made Adare Manor our home, because while Adare has a casual traditional air about it, Dromoland could claim no such subtlety. While the grounds, manicured golf course,... The property is just as lovely as the pictures and descriptions indicate. The staff in all areas were great, the rooms uber comfortable, the food delicious. It was much more than we are accustomed to paying for lodging and food, but then again, we don't stay in a castle every day. Price is the only consideration keeping this from a... More

Beautiful place for a romantic trip. Couldnt fault the service. Cant wait to go back! We had afternoon tea in the lounge which was a great experience, staff are very friendly and although the restaurent prices are very high its worth the experience. A very special place. Would recommend taking the golf carts around the grounds - great fun but... More

My partner and I stayed here recently for one night and enjoyed the experience. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful and really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was fantastic and the pancakes were aboslutely winner. I just felt the cost for the stay was a bit ridiculous. The wallpaper in the room was peeling and stained and the room... More

I am in love. With the grounds the history the food the staff. Take the tram & carriage the young man who runs it loves his history and does an incredible job! This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We had a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room, which was the highest tower room (502) which is stunning and has amazing views over the lake. Upon arrival all the staff were very friendly and the butler carried our cases up to the room immediately and showed us... More
