The views and property is lovely and green. We were greeted by 4 wallabies when we arrived. The cabins however are not very well maintained and there is no way of locking your room while you are asleep or out seeing the local area. We stayed in Winter and the only heating available is an electric blanket. There is also no service and Wifi was only available within a 5 minute walk. The toilet and shower is also outside. Steve was lovely and very accomodating. Great stay if you want a very earthy and rustic experience but unfortunately it wasn’t for us.

The perfect place for a couples getaway. We enjoyed one night in a glamping tent. The room was beautiful and so were the surrounds and views. Comfy bed and awesome timber bath with views to the stars! Great deck with a BBQ. We will return.

We arrived at Silk Pavilions after a long day drive in appalling conditions - rain storm and lightening so this provided a background to our experience. We were met by Steve who is the most wonderful of hosts and we're transported via the trailer (is not as bad as it sounds lol) to our tent. Imagine pouring rain damp sheets cold winds and various bugs - these are all elements which were totally out of control of the owners and I would not in any way try and blame them or their wonderful place for what we experienced it was simply a reflection of the terrible conditions that Oz was going through. We didn't really sleep well due to the damp and the rain and this did really affect our feelings towards Silk Pavilions. But and this is a huge but - The place looks amazing the walks look stunning the outside shower with views of the mountains was probably the highlight of my whole Oz trip and Steve is a superb host we were just unlucky to hit the place during the worse storms for years.

Steve is easy to deal with and the meal options were quite good. We had been here previously a few years ago- unfortunately the tents and decor have not been maintained. There is mould growing on the roof/ walls of the deluxe tent (in which we stayed) and the tent surfaces including doors and windows need a good clean - you are left wondering what you might catch touching these. The location itself is stunning, only other downer is there is a tent close to the deluxe tent and there can be noise from people next door carrying on through the night. If this place can be maintained, this place is a gem!

I came with my husband to celebrate my birthday. It was a great stay in the standard glamping tent, however we have to admit that we couldn't sleep well because of the people staying in another tent, next to the one we booked. That wasn't glam to be able to listen to people speaking loudly... but I know that's not something easy to manage. Also, we didn't get offered any bubbly wine as mentioned in the welcoming notebook. Now, the positive things !... and there are many of them : - We really appreciate to feel very welcome ! Thank you Steve ! Very nice and helpful owner. - The wallabies are so cute and it can be possible to take your shower with a mountain view surrounded by wallabies. It's fantastic ! - The bed and indoor furniture are beautiful, in great condition. The electric blanket was a big bonus and works very well. - The breakfast was great with some fresh fruit and a fresh and delicious yugurt. We also enjoyed the breakfast presentation. We just would have been a little bit more happy if an apple juice or any other fruit juice would have been served (as mentioned in the welcome guests book). - Check-out at 11am is something brillant after a little sleep because of the next tent. Thank you for welcoming us. All the best to Silk Pavilions :)

This is a Glamping operation without the Glam! The tents (sorry, Silk Pavilions!) are past their best – basically shabby and tired looking. Apart from the electric blankets there was no heating for our winter stay – the damp mornings and evenings made more uncomfortable by the poor lighting. The Hotels.com website shows plenty of photographs of beautiful Asian inspired villas and white linen table clothes. They aslo show a chef cooking up a storm but there is no chef on site. More photos show what looks like beautifully prepared asian food stuffs yet they were not available, I guess they come with the chef. Some photos do indeed show tented structures but are misleading because they show new or near new tents and not the tatty old ones in use. As for the view we had none – looked into a thicket To cap it all off the brochure/manual in the “room” said that were being given a bottle of bubbly as a welcoming gesture – bye know you will be probably be unfazed when I say that no bubbly was presented to us. As for the gourmet breakfast it consisted of exactly the same ingredients each day for the 4 day stay and to claim that they are “gourmet” is misleading, All I can say is that the owner needs to get out a little bit more and find out what others are offering as gourmet. Part of the “experience” is to trudge about 200 metres from the carpark across a steep paddock to get to the tent. No torch was provided and so the trip at night is fraught with trip hazards

Gorgeous location in Mt Burrell, surrounded by nature. Breakfast provided each morning and bbqs to cook dinner on. Steve was a great host, so friendly and accommodating. Great place to get away and reconnect.

This is my second time visiting, my first experience was glamping in the tents, the property and place was spectacular 5 star rating several years ago. Currently the accommodation is very run down for the price. Owners very lovely however the gardens and cleaning of the Thai Villa does need a lot of work. Some lights didn't work nothing was cleaned properly, very dusty and cob webs in Villa. Lovely to get away very quiet, relaxing and peaceful however maintenance and cleaning of the Villa was very poor. Breakfast is a little slack for the price of the package. Its a shame because its a beautiful place and it was immaculate but unfortunately for the price is overrated.

Went there for my husbands birthday. What a lovely place, wish we had found it sooner. Steve was a great host, nothing was too much trouble for him We will definitely be going back for another visit. Nice and quiet. For us the limited wifi access was great. A good time to go technology free. There is access at the main house
