This newly converted barn is a wonderful getaway for couples. It has breathtaking views and is near the lakes and some pretty towns. The barn has everything you would need and want - including a great sound system. We loved it.

Twelve of us descended on the unspoilt countryside of the Dalston area in Cumbria for a family reunion, just South of Carlisle, for a Lake District visit. The accommodation was fantastic, the location great and the views just beautiful. Jude, the proprieter, and her husband got it just right with a perfect balance of helpful friendliness and privacy. Each of... More

Fantastically appointed, converted barn with lots of nice touches to really enhance your stay. We stayed as a party of 4 and were made extremely welcome by Tim and Jude, both on arrival and later in the bar! Fixtures and fittings are great, the heating is controlled by yourself 24/7 and I have never stayed in cleaner accomodation anywhere in... More

The Folly had everything we needed so we could cook dinner, watch movies from our laptops, an amazing sound system and lovely powerful shower. We even recieved some goodies upon arrival and had a nice welcome and shown around. You... More

We spent week in the beautiful designed and equipped Folly. These are exceptional rental properties in rural Cumbria but just a short drive to all main attractions. Jude has furnished the properties to an extremely high standard and has given great thought to the comfort and needs of visitors. To sit out and enjoy a drink and take in the... More

Hall Hills is very conveniently located for exploring both the north Lake District and attractions beyond. A really convenient drive to Carlisle and about 40 minutes from Bridoswald Fort, Hadrian's Wall. We were also lucky to be in for the weekend of the Dalston show (the nearest small village) and that was great fun. We stayed in Tethera cottage, very... More

Having just spent 4 nights in merthera with my husband and 4 kids I would have to say that these cottages were perfect for our needs. Jude honestly has thought of everything, the cottage is tastefully decorated , spotlessly clean and more than well equipped. The surroundings were peaceful and while we were a little north of the lakes there... More
