We have been going to Alpine Resort since 1988. Mike, Fred, Jodi, Anita are always wonderful hosts. The cabins are exceptionally clean. The fishing is good but connecting with family and friends is the best part of these trips. If you want to feel like you are part of an extended family and experience outstanding personal attention give Alpine Resort... More

This is a very nice, very family friendly place at Rice Lake. There are about 20 cottages, some right on the water, most not. The water is weedy, (hence the name Rice Lake) but they have a very nice pool. They have volleyball, a basketball hoop, and horseshoe pits, and a kids area with sandbox and climber. They do family... Couldn't say enough about Alpine. I'm 32 and have been going since I was 2. Every year about 25 of us, ( family ) stay the week. Some of the best times of my life are here. Definitely recommend this place for fishing or just a chance to get away and relax.

We have been coming to Alpine Resort for about 20 years. We had sometimes thought of trying some place new, but always thought "Why fix it if it ain't broke". Its a great place to vacation if you want to be up north and do the "cottage thing". Cottages are clean, grounds are clean, lots of stuff to do, fishing... More

I stayed here for a few days august and the weather didnt co operate at all. This was not in any way the resorts fault and there seemed like alot of indoor activities to keep everyone happy. The resort itself had very nice grounds. The cottages were spaced so there was as little or as much privacy as you wanted.... More

Thanks for your review. We appreciate the feedback. I believe we explained to you that we were aware of the leaky roof in your cottage. We had 3 cottages suddenly start leaking in June after a driving rain that lasted several hours. Roofs don't give you any warning before they start to leak. No one wants to have their shingles... We went to Alpine resort last fall and the summer before for a weekend getaway with another couple. We love it there because its quiet and very clean and reasonably affordable! The grounds, cottages and boat are well kept and come with pretty much everything you need for your stay there. Their website is easy to find information on and... More

Isn't this wonderful people giving reviews that have NOT even stayed at this wonderful resort. They whine and complain about walking a few feet. If they didn't want to walk then stay home and watch TV.. heaven forbid if we get a bit of exercise. Did I say these people didn't even stay here? LOL. To go out of their... More

My family and I have been vacationing at Alpine Resort for the past 25 years (I was 2 when we first visited). We have grown to love "our" cottage and consider the owners more like family. The service and hospitality are wonderful. I'm looking forward to one day taking my own children.
