Quite simply delicious food! great service this was a return visit for us, as on holiday again on the IOW. Never been disappointed with the food or service and after our initial visit they had a lot to live up to. Very very good. Rob and Annette

On our visit to this pub we found the staff to be pleasant, The food( some home made) was of a good standard.We would visit again despite the tired decor. Our grandson loved the moving train on the walls of the bar.

Went for dinner tonight (5/9/12) with my wife and two friends, could not fault anything. Service fist class, food supurb and value for money. The staff were most pleasent too....Many people dinning tonight, including lots of local residents, will be going back soon, before our holiday ends.

Staff were really rude. Food was obviously microwaved, orders were incorrec. Toilets could do with an update as tap was broken. Not returning

visited the sun with a party of people service at bar very abrupt attitude. ordered soup and sandwiches . the soup was like dishwater we had three spoonfuls each and gave it back to the waiter .the sandwichese we ate the tiny bit of ham in them and left the cheap bread and margarine .having paid fifteen pounds we left... We visited the Sun Inn yesterday (Friday 29th October) for a family meal, it was our last night on the Island before driving home. The service was wonderful and the meal was one of the best we have had. Everyone in our group went away happy. The homemade pie was the winner of the night! The staff were very welcoming... More

We had dinner in the restaurant for 2 adults 2 children, the service was excellent, very attentitive. The food was mostly homemade, wide choice of dishes, as well as specials board. Also very reasonably priced. We would definately go back, and recomend to anyone visiting the isle of wight to go there.

Been to the IOW a few times and always each time treated ourselves to the sumptuous home cooked food at the Sun inn.Tried various meals in there range from the Curry to the nut roast and quite simply each time was a real treat. Friendly staff, nice quite atmosphere simply a lovely experience, highly recommended. Rob & Annette
