Stopped here for two nights over the weekend for a nearby family wedding. Excellent check in and rooms better than average but it was an Innkeepers Lodge which in my opinion were an excellent operator. Could do with a lick of paint both inside and out but otherwise no problems.

My room was very well equiped for a wheelchair user. I have stayed at the Travelodge, Castle Bromwich for the third time and each time I have found the staff most welcoming and pleasent. The Travelodge is the best value for money anywhere in the UK and I intend using it again.

For £35 on NYE this was a cheap and fine hotel. We didn't expect much to be honest, but was nice and quiet, and clean. Had a nice Toby Carvery the next day and there were lots of shops across the road including Tesco, Morrisons, ALDI and KFC.

I know that sounds like damning with faint praise, but I was genuinely surprised at how quiet the room was, and how exceptionally helpful the guy on reception was - gave us printed directions to a nearby venue, loaned a hair dryer, etc. Obviously not luxurious - but for £29, what do you expect
