Just back from a week-long trip to lovely, monsoon-is-round-the-corner Goa. The first half was at Arco Iris. The villa is a visual story in timeless and contemporary grace, a stunning work of architectural art restored to prime glory, and then extended well beyond. A labor of love for the artist-in-residence, Beni, and her wonderful family. This is a home-stay experience... More

A stay at the Arco Iris is not just a stay but an experience. Arco Iris is a charming house with classy interiors and spacious colorful rooms. We spent 2 beautiful days at Arco Iris and I must say that Bini and Ganesh did not host us like guests but treated us like family. I specially would like to thank... More

Ganesh, Benni and family were a dream - parents stayed at Arco Iris two years ago and couldn't recommend the place highly enough. Our experience was perfect. Arco Iris is a beautifully designed renovated colonial house right in the heart of the real Goa far away from package tours and beach resorts. Our days were spent exploring old Portuguese mansions,... More

We were recommended Arco Iris by a friend who'd never been there! And we came back consumed by the experience. The beauty of the place is enthalling. The house is meticulously planned and done up. We and our daughter loved the space, various rocking chairs, hammocks that were there all over the place. Beni, Genesh, Trusha, Trikaya and Feni we... More

Arco Iris is a truly wonderfully restored Goan villa, away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal resorts is a really welcome retreat. Beni, Ganesh, family and staff make you feel like you've come home. We booked originally for two days, but very quickly decided to extend for a lot longer as we realised it wasn't going to get... Official Description (provided by the hotel):
"Arco Iris”, meaning "Rainbow" in Portuguese is a 200 + year old elegantly restored colonial house built on a sprawling, terraced, 1.5 acre property. It overlooks a seasonal lake and is about a Km from the Zuari river. Arco Iris is located in Curtorim, a quiet village in South Goa, about 7kms from Margao. The village is dotted with seasonal lakes and paddy fields and is often referred to as the “Granary of Goa”. Besides being popular with bird watchers as a destination and the attendant photo shoot opportunities that it affords, Curtorim and its adjoining villages house several places of historical interest. The house, with a built up area of around 7,000 sq feet, comprises an “entrada” (foyer), “sala” (living room), dining room, five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms , library, fully equipped modern kitchen, utility area, two store rooms and accommodation for the support staff. Three of the bedrooms open into private balconies. It also has a “balcao” (balcony) and gallery in front and a courtyard in the rear. Our family of Bennita (“Beni”), Ganesh (“Gani”), Trusha and Trikaya (“T&T”), resides on the premises. ... more   less
