We had the cutest cabin (#2) set down from the road, right along the Big Sur River. Our deck overlooked the river and had a picnic table. Very rustic. perfect for 2. the cabin had a kitchenette, but we mostly dined out as we explored Big Sur. The only complaint I had is that the bathroom was small- the shower... More

These cozy little cabins make for some of the best sleeping in -- EVER!! They are rustic and warm and quaint and clean and exciting! We had Cabin No. 9 I am pretty sure. Had a deck right on the river, little kitchenette, shower had plexiglass type roof so you could look up and see the trees! I recommend taking... More

Loved this place! You are directly on Highway 1 and surrended by the reedwoods. We Even saw deer right Next to us! Stayed at cabin 17 which provides an own loggia. Given the relatively high price, I would expect a free breakfast at the associated cafe. All else, I can really recommend this place and will stay here again...a little... More

Several years ago I stayed in one of the cabins along the river, nestled among the redwoods, and adored it. This year I couldn't get a river cabin and I was a little worried about staying in #17 up on the hill behind the store. It was still great. This is just a wonderful place all around. One review mentions... More

I wasn't expecting much, something basic and rustic, but this place is great. So great, we came back after another night elsewhere. We had one of the tiny places first, 12b, which was really lovely, small, but really lovely, and ridiculously reasonable compared to other places in the area. The second night, we were in 17, a much bigger cabin,... More

When you come to Big Sur, expect to take a step back and enjoy a slower pace of life. The location is great, right in the heart of the Andrew Molera state park and only minutes from one of the best restaurants around (The Bakery). The walls are paper thin in the cabins and it is a literal stones throw... More

Nice rustic cabins, although in 12A the shower was but a trickle. I mentioned this to the management and they said they had been having plumbing problems. I did not realize that the whole resort is split in half by the highway 1. If you want a river cabin, it is West of the 1 and the less expensive cabins... More

Do not email your reservation or trust the website for online availability. I was delighted to find a cabin available online for my annual birthday trip, sent my credit card and info, then received an email saying that the room was gone but there was another available. I emailed right away to say I would take it (11 pm at... More

WOW! What a great place to stay. I lucked out in getting the last available cabin and wasn't sure what to expect as some reviews were mixed. All I can say is that our cabin and experienced far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in cabin #6 and it was clean, cozy and had all the furnishings you might need. The... More
