Beautiful site on cliff edge with plots on different levels, huge site. We were lucky to be allocated a large plot with fantastic views, but we have a large motorhome. Would recommend, kids would love it as have private beach and stunning walks, we visited in April when weather not so good, but still enjoyed it. I suspect gets very busy in summer. Great location en route to Santander or if you have come off the ferry. Little bit pricey but worth it.

Overpacked site. Stunning views if you are placed on the cliff overlooking the sea but Motorhomes are placed in the bottom of the valley. The shower block was very basic but worst of all was the smell coming from the open stream - into which I can only assume waste was being emptied. It was absolutely gut wrenchingly rank and totally ruined the two nights we were there. The restaurant is more like a glorified bus shelter and the food v average. It’s advertised as a 5* resort. Well- it’s in a 5* location but the plots are tiny and … back to the smell!!! Definitely NOT a 5* experience

The location and view is incredible, and the staff really nice. The shower and toilets were clean. The camping is located on a cliff near by the sea. Very very good for surfers. It is a must have experience ! I will come back for sure !

Beautiful site with all pitches overlooking the sea. Steep climb up to the site but we managed with a 7m motorhome . Lots of Motorhome’s and caravans here as well as tents . Taxi easy into pretty nearby harbour town of Llanes . 2 beaches within an easy walk down the hill from the site . On site restaurant and bar- a welcome beer ! Laundry facilities and good washrooms - clean site with friendly staff. A good first stop after getting off the ferry in Santander or Bilboa

Location superb. Our pitch was in a sunny position overlooking the sea. Vicinity of beach excellent. Keep an eye on the weather forecast- we did have a day of rain and strong winds - which we were told was unusual for the time of year -some tents did not survive! Reception - some staff more friendly than others. Some info about local area- could do with more Washing facilities reasonable. Plenty of hot water. Did not appear to be offering recycling facilities Restaurant- food OK and better than I thought it would be. Ambiance could be better considering the fantastic location. Things we enjoyed in the area 1. The footpaths/cycle ways direct from campsite. Note paths to Llanes - quite difficult - steep and lose gravel in parts 2 other beaches either side of campsite. Campsite beach good but there are better ones in the locality 3 Llanes - interesting little town 4 Comillas. Nice town wonderful Gaudi house 5. The Picos de Europa including lakes at Covadonga and Trail from Pasada to Caín 6 Mexican restaurant in next village Pendules -Casa Flor 7 Watching the Vuelta cycle race pass by the camp site! Things to be aware of 1. Being on a hill lots of steep walking 2 For tents likely to park away from pitch and carry kit to and from sometimes on steep paths 3. The site has a large number of perminant tents which are used by organised groups of young people. When we were there , for the second week, the organising group was Belgian and called Route du Soleil. The young people surfed, played beach volleyball etc and in the evening there was music. I have to say, they were well behaved and caused less intrusion than I thought but the sudden arrival of 400 youngsters did have an impact on the beach, shower facilities and general noise. This impact would be greater at busier times of the year…

Family vacation with 3 boys. Just not the right place. If 20 with a tent then all fine but campervans are out at the bottom of the cliff. No view , like warm water, dirty showers cleaned irregularity and restaurant packed with kids so almost 40 mins to get served and 30 mins to try and pay. Really really sad and disappointed. Should be advertised for surfers and youngsters so people know what they are going to get or not in our care. :-(((((.

Great location and surroundings with peaks of europe and the Biscay bay infront of you. I have been going here for 20 years the views from the pitches are amazing. The facilities are brilliant and are cleaned regularly. The bar is brilliant offering fine cuisine and well priced beers. There is lovely beach called Playa da vidiago situated at this campsite which is just simply amazing with clear seas (minus a bit of seaweed). There are various sized pitches for camping on different levels and also specialised pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes. The campsite does have a nice little shop offering basics but still handy. Staff very friendly, they do speak English and are very helpful.

We wanted to stay only 2 or 3 nights, they were 6 in the end! Great view from most places, very nice and helpful people. Sanitary installations clean and ok. You need to be mobile to explore the region. Poor shop.

A truly magical campsite with views, hills and tracks leading you around the site and down to the two beaches (if tide is in). We stayed in the little valley which at first was slightly disappointing because we didn't have a view but it was fine. We ate at the restaurant which was busy, watching the sun set, and the food was ok (we had a mixed salad amongst other things and it turns out this was one of the most generous of our three week trip). We never encountered a mosquito and we normally are their favourite snack. A really lovely great spot and if we had had the view it would have been a five star rating all the way.
