I stayed at the Springfield Lodge, April 4-9 and April 17, 2013, as an independent traveler. The Springfield Lodge is off Darlinghurst Road on a quiet street that resembles a street in Paris. The friendly, enthusiastic, professional staff (Marouska (?), JJ/Jahangir, and John) ensured that I had a great stay. The staff’s willingness to help by sharing their knowledge of... More

We stayed 2 nights in a double room on the ground floor. The room was pretty small and had no view from the window, but it suited all our needs. It was clean and the shower was hot. Towels, soap and shampoo were provided. The bathroom is tiny, but that's no problem as long as you don't want to be... More

Generally speaking, the location is good but the room is small. What disappointed me is that when I would like to use the phone in the room, they did not tell me the rate per min, and just let me use. When check out, they charged me 22.2 AUD for around 10 minutes call. This is their plot to earn... More

The rooms (I had one on the bottom level) themselves were small and clean, about what you'd expect for the area and cost. However the rooms were extremely noisy on account of both internal and external noise. The tile floors inside the hotel mean that the noise echoes throughout the bottom level. The noise from the street easily penetrates the... More

We arrived mid morning and our room was ready, so we were able to check in straight away, this was a great plus as we had been travelling for 24 hours. The room was very clean and the ensuite bathroom was recently renovated. The TV was new. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. Most nights were peaceful,... More

We arrived in the morning with our friends and were checked in promptly and our baggage stored. Returning a hour later, both couples were upgraded to 4th floor rooms with king size beds. We enjoyed the area and the convenience of being within walking distance to area attractions. This little hotel was neat and tastefully decorated and all staff were... More

What do you require of a hotel on a short city visit? Well the Springfield has it all. Small ,quiet rooms , not necessarily with a view ,reasonably priced , close to but NOT adjacent to a really buzzy, bohemian part of town bursting with bars and restaurants to explore. If you are not in the mood the pavement /cafe diner... More

HUGE room, kitchen is well appointed, clean, quiet, there is a lift. It is in Potts Point/ Kings Cross so it can be a little colourful at nighttime, but we found it perfectly safe and our room was really quiet. Close to the train station and there are loads of cafes and bars to choose from within a 2 min... More

Thank you for staying with Sydney Lodges at Springfield Lodge. Thanks also for booking directly with us on our Sydney Lodges website! We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. You are quite right, the Petrol cafe is a separate business to Sydney Lodges, but we will pass on your comments nonetheless to the manager. Thank you for... More
