We had a fabulous 5-day stay here in December. The lagoon pools are amazing and very well kept, essential when the beach is unsafe to swim in due to box jellyfish (when in season). Stay here for the pools. The rooms are fine, clean and comfortable and quite spacious. The food was terrible and terribly expensive, even with the "20% discount" so don't even bother and go into town instead. But the pools are fantastic to laze around and soak in. Got here about Noon after a flight from Auckland. All tiredness was washed away by the lovely views from Captain Cook Highway, which follows the shoreline for much of its 70 Km from Cairns.
