I loved Trekkers Backpackers. Everyone was very friendly when we arrived. I had a nice 4 person bedroom, I actually thought the beds were comfortable. When we arrived at Surfers Paradise last week, we had to chose from a number of hostels in the area..Unfortunately we chose this one - all i can say is the brochure for Trekkers is some joke. We actually nearly cried when we saw the room and only for the lashing rain outside, we would have left straight away. Lizards....bedbugs...need... more

Last year I had a good impression of this hostel and that why I booked there again. But this time I feel totally disappointed. Some of the staff are so mean to us without reasons. Probably the best backpackers I have stayed at, and I heard the same comment from an Australian who also stayed at the hostel. The rooms are clean, the bed is made for you, and all the services are as advertised. There is Internet from Desktop PC's available at reception, and wireless is also available. It's a bit pricey, but convenient.... more

I Have been going back to stay at trekkers for over 10 years now. The thing i love about it is everyone is so friendly you make friends for life there. Go to trekkers if you are travelling alone you will meet loads of people, if you are a couple they have an amazing water bed and have double rooms... more
