Clean, modern rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good location. Having the car park behind was a bonus too. The only 2 things I would say is the bed was a tad hard for my liking, and there was no smoking area meaning a smoker has to go out the front. But still a pleasant stay :)

Average hotel stay in a phenomenal city. This hotel is ideally situated in the town. Five minutes walk to the harbour and five minutes walk into the town centre. Based on another reviewers comments we decided to give Hotel Collins ago over a more fancied hotel on the water front. Not sorry we did, room was excellent, couldn't fault the cleansiness, friendly helpful serivice. My wife, two sons and i stayed four nights over easter. Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast in the cafe was quick and cheap. Easy walk to the harbour and markets. great restaurants nearby. carpark next door is cheap but not part of the hotel. Quirk motor themed bar in market st worth a beer.
