We stayed one night at the Travelodge Southbank while in Melbourne watching the Australian Tennis Open. The hotel is great for its price and we will probably return. This was the second time I have booked the Travelodge @ Southbank Melbourne, and will do again from my next trip. Excellent location just minutes to the city, trams and trains, and Crown entertainment area. Rooms a basic but clean and are a good size. The staff a very friendly and very helpful. more

We arrived early at 11am, and they had our room ready. Front desk staff were very Friendly as were the cleaners on our floor. Granted there isnt much of a view, but, we spent the nights ONLY in the room to sleep, NOT to stay in the room and lookout of the windows , so lack of view wasnt missed.... more

Excellent quiet location right next to the Eureka tower. Lots of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk and a supermarket just behind the hotel. Kitchenette was great for breakfast and there's also a load of takeaway menus in the hotel that you can get delivered straight to the room. Comfortable beds and excellent room service. Would stay again. more
