Paul was very accomodating and friendly when i arrived. The location was handy to the city. Breakfast was excellent as was the coffee. The actual site is steeped in history - it was an old bakery. There is a good pub about 5 minutes up the road. I was too late for dinner but people were friendly. The room does... More

If you want a great experience in Melbourne, this is the place to stay. Robinsons in the City is a wonderful B &B, where you can make yourself at home. The larger king room that we had for 4 nights was the perfect size, with room to spare. Although the bathroom is down a very short hall, it worked out... More

My husband and I recently stayed 4 nights at Robinson's. Both of us enjoyed our stay very much - very convenient (with the trams and walkable to Queen Vic markets, skybus and free hotel dropoff), wifi, cable TV, splendid breakfast made by Paul, and car parking. The bathrobes were a lovely touch as it was pretty chilly during our stay... More

With the free city tram just a few minutes away or just stroll down to Flagstaff Gardens to the markets, Robinsons in the City is just the place you want to go to with little noise, free WiFi and cable TV. Paul, the host , was very helpful to any touristy questions and made you feel really at home. Free... More

jayblue1421, Thank you for your high praise and recommendation. The title of your review is the essence of what we try and achieve with Robinsons - the feel and hospitality of a countryside B&B and the location of an urban property. An "Urban B&B" if you like! You've also mentioned another of our great features - the price inclusions: comfortable... More

Me and my partner have stayed at many hotels in the city before but nothing compares to Robinson's. The location is perfect. Just a quick walk around to Etihad Stadium, Docklads and Southern Cross Statition and especially for us (seeing a band play on the night), a 2 minute walk from Festival Hall. So close to the city but just... More

My husband and I hate international hotels and we always try to find bed & breakfast or cozy and intimate solutions. In Melbourbe CBD is almost impossible to find something like this being full of international hotels. Also in addition, we noticed that the CBD is very touristy and not that nice to sleep there. Souvenir stores, big chain fast... More

EuDiMu, That is an extensive review of our facilities and services. Thank you very much for taking the time to write it. You've made mention of the separate private bathroom that each of the queen, deluxe king and superior king rooms have - and you've made a great point - it is "exactly same as at home!". So it is... My boyfriend and I stayed at Robinsons in the City for 4 nights and had an enjoyable stay. We booked a stay here after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not left disappointed. I booked the spacious king room for 4 nights and any stay over 4 nights qualifies you for a discount. Wow, the room really is... More

Smileyglobetrotter, WOW, WOW, WOW. What a fantastic and extensive review of your four night stay at RITC earlier this year. Once again your review, like others before, has picked up all the key features of why you would choose a B&B in many places around the world. Personalised service and local knowledge being chief amongst them. I hope the UK... More

We spent one night, 8th March at RITC. We were greeted with the friendly smile of our host Paul. Our room was on the first floor and had an ensuite, was beautifully clean and comfortable. The ambience of the entire property is warm and welcoming. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Paul gave us some great recommendations for food and... More

Stayed four nights late February 2013. Paul the owner, doorman, chauffeur, travel consultant, cook, parking attendant and housekeeper makes the difference in this quaint lodging well sited 2 blocks to a trams stop and 3 blocks to rail station and airport bus terminus. We left an item behind and Paul promptly mailed it to us at our next location.

LenandCathieTasmania, Thank you both for your TA review and adding RITC to your impressive list of hotel reviews. I think breakfast time here is the key to the RITC experience - particularly talking with other guests about their travels, etc. I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to seeing you again soon, when you are back...
