I loved the layout of this hostel, with all the rooms surrounding the main lounge area. Whilst this could make it fairly noisy, for my first night in New Zealand this was ideal for meeting people. Room really modern and clean, quite a walk from the bathrooms but not a huge problem. Good location. Would definitely recommend.

I spent two nights in a dorm and can only confirm the nice reviews. Very near to the centre and departure of the tours. Clean and comfy. Free wifi at arrival and soup. Perfect as a base in Rotorua. Would highly recommend it.

This hostel goes above and beyond. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the bathroom facilities are always clean and the showers are really powerful which is a bonus. The special thing about this hostel is the extra thought that has gone into it, there are hair dryers and straightners available, hot water bottles, blankets in the TV area and... More

Family run hostel with central location. Clean rooms, good bathroom, well stocked kitchen (free tea/coffee and a spice rack to use) and free internet (computers downstairs and access to rotorua wifi upstairs). Combined with helpful hosts what more could you want!

Our stay at the hostel was for about 4 day. The hostel was located in the center of town, about a 2 blocks away from the "i-site" information center. The couple running the hostel were great. They were giving us suggestions, letting us know of deals, and what activities where worth doing. The rooms were clean and spacious. There is... More

I will just describe my experience rather than try and write things in a random order. Arrived at 3:30am, welcomed by the owner who lives onsite with his wife. Got a tour even at that hour of the morning which was great for when I woke up. Bed was as comfortable as you make it. Owners always willing to help... More

Such a fantastic place. It's peaceful, very clean, cozy and extremely friendly. The owners couldn't be more helpful or kind....they even gave me a fluffy blanket when a I was curled up on the couch, watching DVDs :) I loved the uni sex and female only facilities. The Internet access was good too and you get quiet a bit free... More

I was a bit worried when we found the hostel as the signage outside looked more like a seedy club than a hostel. Once inside loved this hostel; really cosy with comfortable beds and and the best stocked kitchen I've come across in 5 months of travelling. Definitely a nice antidote to the chain hostels!

Lovely hostel. Especially if traveling on your own. Easy to meet others. Relaxed. Quiet. Great facilities. Reasonably prices. Central. Clean. Nicely decorated. Staff are very helpful and friendly. And of course it's Irish themed. Lovely lovely hostel. My favourite in New Zealand to date.

I have been traveling New Zealand for several months now and stayed in lots of backpackers but this has been the best by along way.
