it was a dream. Excellent fishingtrips. Very nice people. We enjoyed very mutch the dinners. Everyone had the dinner together on a big table. That is the way i like it. My wife don't like fishing. So the people of Poronui greated an very nice programm for her beside fishing. So both of us had a fantastic time.

We spent 9 days at Poronui lodge in a real hunting and fishing paradise. The staff was very friendly, professional and flexible in looking to fulfill our wishes from arrival until the last day. Soon you will have the feeling to be a special someone for the team. The hunting and fishing guides are well experienced and patient with beginners.... More

We spent last weekend at Blake House, Poronui and had the most memorable experience. The location and standard of accommodation was top notch, we were enveloped in understated luxury. There is so much to explore and enjoy, however sitting doing nothing and admiring the landscape is also a must do. Poronui offers a greater variety of luxury experiences than many... More

Our visit to Poronui was outstanding!!! We can't wait to return!! The accommodations, food, fishing, guides.....all perfect! Eve and her team offer an incredible experience from the moment of arrival. We had challenging weather, but that didn't stop our guides from showing us beautiful waters and fish! A wonderful 7 night 6 day fishing holiday that in spite of low water- 8 weeks of no rain - was just wonderful. Accomodations, food and staff are the best - even the lunches are the best in New Zealand fishing lodges and I have been to 7 of them. Our guide - Sean Andrews - was a delight. Great... More

WOW, what a weekend. Amazing place, fabulous accommodation, great food and wine and great company. Pity about the weather but we still managed to walk through the Safari Park and see all the wonderful animals. My husband would have loved to have had his gun with him!! Tom Bosley is a wonderful chef and Brian Bicknell really knows his wine.... More

Went to Poronui last year. All I can say it was top notch. The Stags were massive. I got a great 350 class stag and my father in law got a 430" stag. The rooms are great, the food is second to none. I only wish I could go back. Spent one day in wine country, that was a blast.... More
