We regularly book the Boardroom for our business meetings and are very happy with the facilities and supplementary services provided during our stay. The cost is also very reasonable and we thoroughly recommend Hotel St George to all prospective users/guests.

Hotel Saint George is the perfect place to meet people from all over the world staying in a nice street of Wellington right in the CBD. This accommodation is calm, and not noisy at all. The rooms are quite big, cold during the summer and warm during the winter. Saint George is also really secured. The only negative point is... More

Dear Marie - Thank you for writing us a review. Yes the kitchen is often an issue when others don't clean as they go and then forget to come back and wash their dishes, but all-in-all most are pretty good. Take care and thanks again - Bruce. More

I stayed at the St George for almost 3 months and loved it. Firstly its location is second to none, you are a couple of minutes from the water front, Cuba st, Courtenay Place, CBD, Botanical gardens, shops, cafes etc. its all right there! The rooms are clean, with options for shared people or own bathroom. The kitchen and dining... More

I travel New Zealand quite a lot and have used backpacker hotels extensively throughout the years. I would say St. George is the cream of the crop of all backpacker places at least in New Zealand for the following reasons: 1. Top notch security - I stayed in the top floors and to reach my room I had to swipe... More

Manager and staff are very helpful and friendly, no bunk beds is one big advantage, kitchen is big but there's no oven. Location is great with secured key card system. Price is really good, if you're staying in Welly for more than 3 months, look no further.

Dear Leen903 - Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Hotel St George only has real beds - no bunk-beds. We have tried the ovens for a communal kitchen - they do not work with so many people wanting to cook. We wish you all the best on your future travels. Regards Bruce. More

I spent a little over two months living at the St. George. The price was UNBEATABLE with such an awesome location. Did I mention I stayed in the same room as the Beatles? Too cool! A short walk to Courtney Place and even shorter one to Cuba Street. The place always had friendly familiar faces. Elevators are fast too. And... More

As a newcomer in NZ, St. George allowed me easy access to and how to go about, places in Wellington: the Parliament building, Victoria Uni, Te Papa museum, restaurants, cafe's and a lot more. These are all well within walking distance and will save you much of bus fares or petrol. Whether you're a student, a visitor, or job hunter,... More
