There are 2 Mercure hotels in Wellington. This one on Willis Street was good but is the far end of the city. This didn't bother us so much as we like walking around and got a great deal from Grabone. Upon checking out I found a syringe in my room. Thankfully it had no needle in it but a very disturbing and disgusting thing to find anywhere, let alone a hotel room. Alerted reception staff who didn't seem to care, wrote to manager about it and havnt heard back. Very disappointing and IMO are letting down a very good hotel...

Good clean hotel for the price.
Staff made a good effort to look after us.
