Great location! 10 minute walk along waterfront to TSB building, Chicago bar underneath has "all you can eat pancakes" Saturday and Sundays. “Great place to stay”

I Stay in Wellington reasonably often on business, this was the first time at Rydges. It was a very positive experience and I will stay there again. The room was well appointed with gorgeous views over the harbour. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the breakfast outstanding.

Great location. Fantastic staff. Restaurant serves amazing food. Social media team was very helpful when I asked about the hotel on twitter. Lovely hotel, highly recommended. The pool was a definite added bonus!

I would recommend this hotel if one is coming for a business trip. Location is near perfect, which should be considered just outside the CBD. If you need to get to a supermarket, don't forget there is one just at the train station. Fast food restaurant, MacDonald is also at the other corner of the building. Booking is also easy.... More

“Excellent place to stay”

This really is the best value and quality place to stay. Great breakfast, nice rooms, friendly people. It's right in the middle of the city and is very handy. Kids loved the pool and the breakfast really is the best buffet around. Highly recommended.

“Amazing........”

Had the most fantastic stay......requested an upgrade to harbour view and got it....the most comfortable bed and the most AMAZING breakfast ...all in the price...and a personal welcome and request for feedback from general manager Simon White...we'll be back ....and want to try out the Portlander restaurant ... this hotel is very central to the city and the railway station & the harbour. We were able to walk the short distance to the railway station & get the shuttle bus for $2 each to catch the inter island ferry. Our 2nd time staying at the Rydges and would recommend to others and would stay again. Centrally located, near the Railway station.
