Arriving in New Zealand, our first two nights were spent with Pam. Pam made us really welcome into her home. Pam had emailed us to say there was on going work to her house, after the earthquake damage, and would not be offended if we changed our minds. It was fine! Great breakfast one of the best we had in... More

When we booked our stay at Fendalton House, Pam let us know that she was having work done to repair earthquake damage, and would not be offended if we changed our minds about staying there. We're all too happy that we didn't cancel the booking - Pam made us feel completely at home, and was a warm and hospitable host.... More

We stayed in Fendalton House for three days at the beginning of our tour of the South Island, and on our last night, and it was the perfect start and end to our trip. It is in a quiet, leafy street, very convenient for the airport and Christchurch city centre, and ten minutes’ walk from shops and restaurants. The house... More

We stayed at Fendalton House during the last leg of our trip to New Zealand. Pam greeted us and offered wine. We had just arrived from the TranzAlpine train. She recommended a good variety of restaurants for dinner. Fendalton House is only a 10 minute walk away from Riccarton, where you can find bars, restaurants, and entertainment. The breakfast provided... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, I know that you are both very busy people. As I think you were aware, I felt very happy to be able to help you, 'no problem' as we say. I really enjoyed having you as guests. More

Our final destination after travelling through New Zealand was Fendaton House, where we enjoyed the hospitality of a welcoming host, Pam. The room and ensuite was extremely well appointed and very comfortable, with complimentary Port and Sherry. The breakfasts were outstanding with a hearty and wholesome selection of hot and cold, who needed lunch?! Pam had a wealth of local... More

Thank you Pam for looking after us so well and helping to make our time in Christchurch so special. The rooms so comfortable and the breakfasts unforgettable. Just to prove the point to our friends we have a photo of the breakfast table and of the waffles! Definitely recommend Fendalton House to anyone visiting Christchurch.

Pam is a wonderful hostess, providing not only very comfortable and quiet accommodation with excellent breakfasts, but also very interesting to talk with. The complimentary sherry and port in the room is an additional treat! We will stay again if we are back in Christchurch.

New Zealand is full of high standard B&Bs. FendaltonHouse is one of them. What sets it apart is the host. There are people with whom you feel at home at once and you are said when parting - even though you spent only very little time with them. Pam is one of these persons - and her American pancakes are... More

Fendalton House is a comfortable B&B located in a quiet neighborhood halfway between the airport and center city. It is within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The guest room is small, but nicely appointed and has a very comfortable bed. Pam, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. She cooked a terrific full breakfast in addition to a... More
