We stayed just outside of Christchurch at Upper Riccarton, the accomadation we required was 3 rooms this place suited our needs. We were in walking distance to the local shopping centres and amenities, but had to drive approx 15 mins into the city.

We stopped here for an overnight stay while traveling through Christchurch. The room was great. Large, clean, modern. Good bathroom and shower. Toaster and microwave. Friendly staff. The laundry was free, with washing machine and drier, you just need your own detergent, or buy it from reception. Loved it.

Rooms are clean but not as cosy as we would like it to be (as with most other motels and guest house in South Island). Stayed there for one night and by morning the main heater was no longer working and hot water also ran out.

We had a 2 bedroom unit for $175 incl GST a night. Very quiet even though on a main road though being on the ground floor we could hear all the goings on in the unit above so the floors/ceiling not well insulated as could hear their alarm go off at 5.00 a.m and when they went to the toilet!... More
