I would have rated it 5/5 or excellent but only issue is probably it needs a bit of renovation. The place is comfortable, easy to access. The hosts are really wonderful and went out of way to help us. Though old it was clean and tidy.

Really lovely hosts. While obviously earthquake damage has inconvenienced the business they are well open for accommodation. Pity parking is so tight for a motor lodge but full marks for resilience. Very convenient location near restaurants, bars etc.

We had a late check-in time about 2 am and as the reception office shutted off they left the key for us and emailed us before we arrived which was very nice. They checked on us in the early morning. I booked here due to reading the reviews, so I feel I was let down. I found the Shower hadnt been cleaned properly, which ruined totally my weekendbefore it started and the fridge didnt seem to be working properly.

Owners are so friendly and helpful, directed us to all the great places to dine and sightsee nothing was too much to ask. Services all conveniently located on site. Transport just out on the sidewalk, so handy to all amenities.
