I had booked this hotel on Hostelworld and it was under a different name [Hotel SO] - when I arrived in Christchurch the taxi driver kindly corrected me with regards the name. I had been staying in fairly basic hostel accommodation, so planned on treating myself with the All Seasons. The free wifi and en-suite had really attracted me, so... More

We stayed here whilst holidaying in Christchurch and loved the quirkiness of the place! The rooms are very small, but if you haven't got many bags and like to stay somewhere with a bit of character then this is the place for you! My partner was like a child playing with all the different lighting options and loved the wake... More

Stayed before the earthquake when it was still HotelSo. The rooms are very small (smaller than a cruise ship cabin), but every bit of space is optimized. I would not suggest staying in a room with someone you are not intimate with, as the bathroom has nothing more than a sliding glass door to seperate it from the rest of... More

Stayed here earlier this year, before the earthquake. For the price, decent hotel, but well-placed for sightseeing around the area. Good Mexican, Indian and European food available in the vicinity. Not sure of its status post the earthquake. More

We stayed here at the end of our New Zealand trip before flying back to Australia. The light settings in the hotel were magically and made it quite nice. Our travel agent accidentally booked a twin room but we coped being in seperate beds. We ate in the restuarant down in the lobby which was beautiful, good food, and fantastic... More

I just loved Hotel SO. It was a great deal for someone travelling on their own. The compact room was just right for me. The location was great - within walking distance to everything. I meant to write a review last year when I was there but never got around to it. More

A colleague and I arrived on Sunday 19 Feb, the other 12 got there on Monday. Some of us behaved like spoilt brats that night. It was the thought of having to sleep in the tiny room for 4 more nights that was doing my head in - I wasn't claustrophobic till then. The earthquake hit us the next day... More

I am surprised that no one has written following the Feb. 22 Christchurch earthquake! We checked in to the All Seasons (Hotel So when we booked) on Cashel St. on Feb. 21. It is located adjacent to the Grand Chancellor (26 storey hotel) that is leaning and will eventually be taken down. All our belongings remain in our room, but luckily... More

We booked the All Seasons to be able to relax after a long haul flight to Christchurch. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre. The room is modern and clean. However, it is very, very small. If you are travelling on your own, this is not a problem, but for 2 it is like being in... More

ok, rooms are small and not all of them have windows - oops, sounds akward, but it actually isn't. you get great value for your buck: free internet, sauna, laundry, gym and so on... woudn't maybe stay like two weeks or so, but for the two nights we stayd, it was just great! Guess, next time again! More
