I can't speak highly enough of my stay with Lynne and Trev, Trev kindly offered to pick me up and it wasn't a problem for him to come later than expected after my flight had been delayed. I was on my own and Lynne and Trev made me feel very much at ease. After a huge day it was so comforting to enjoy a cosy bed with the electric blanket on, which was a bonus! I was off the next day to Stewart Island well informed with info from them both who work for DOC, I was treated to a beautiful breakfast and a garden tour and for a garden enthusiast myself I was blown away with how gorgeous it was even for this time of year, will be back when everything is in full bloom. I decided to enjoy another night after returning from Stewart Island and I was treated to a very special bath soothing my aches and pains from a big tramp, a scrumptious dinner and a few glasses of wine with interesting conversation by the fire, cant get much better and beats being by my lonesome in some motel that's for sure. I left Southland with a huge appreciation for southern hospitality thanks to Lynne and Trev and a few dahlia tubers! Cant thank them enough for making my stay so memorable.…

We stayed 1 night at Folster Gardens B&B. Trevor and Lynne are amazing hosts, they made us feel very welcome . We arrived under an emergency situation with a sick relative transported from Queenstown to Invercargill hospital late at night. Trevor made us a cuppa, which I so needed! Please keep in mind the bedroom is part of a person’s house, it isn’t separate in any way. The bedroom is homely with an old fashioned feel, the bathroom is next door. Everything was very clean and tidy. A Continental style breakfast with fresh baked bread, the best museuli , strawberries, jams and delicious yoghurt was served . However, the best part of the stay are the gorgeous cottage style garden, very extensive with a huge variety of flowering plants, roses etc .

Trev and Lynne are wonderful hosts and happy to talk about their town. They made good suggestions for local eateries and pointed us towards E Hayes and Sons (a must). Trevs workshop is is an attraction in itself. Great breakfast and comfortable bed. The bathroom is well appointed and shower was lovely but facilities are shared. The gardens are wonderful but you may be startled by the neighbours pigs. Lots of bunny rabbits in the evening

We've just had two nights at Folster Gardens. We were warmly welcomed by Trevor, Milly and Puss with a Cuppa at the ready. Our accommodation was homely and full of interesting vintage furnishings. Everywhere we looked there was something interesting and occasionally quirky. The breakfast was continental with freshly baked bread, homemade jams and local honey. The garden was a delight with many varieties of rose. It was great to open the curtains in the morning to the wonderful colours of the flowers. We felt very much at home. Arrived as guests and left as friends. Ideal location for visiting Invercargill a great town with lots to offer.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had one room and our daughter was in the other room and we shared the bathroom. The owners Lynne and Trevor are very friendly and they happily shared their house and gardens. We loved their little dog Milly! The gardens are extensive and the amount of love and hard work that go into them is evident. They also have sheep and chickens on their property too. Overall a great place to stay if you enjoy personable accommodations vs a sterile hotel room. We felt like guests, not customers.

We had a night at Lynne and Trev's lovely home a few days ago while visiting Invercargill. The B&B is located outside the city in a quiet rural setting with wonderful gardens surrounding the property. Lynne and Trev are perfect hosts and show the true meaning of Southern hospitality. They have a cool cat and crazy little dog who are just as friendly. Breaksfast was substantial - a great way the start the day. A very good place to stay when visiting the beautiful South.

We stayed at Trev and Lynne's beautiful home and gardens during the Burt Munro Challenge in Invercargill. They are two of the nicest locals you will ever meet. They are very welcoming and knowledgeable on the area. Trev and Lynne have an exceptionally clean and warm eclectic home and have made a wonderful B&B. They have 2 pets who are just as friendly. They open their home up to guests and treat them like friends. We were so happy to stay here and still talk about their wonderful way of life. We learnt so much about living in Invercargill and the area We had a lovely dinner one night with a local delicacy and every morning a homestyle breakfast. We look forward to coming back to stay at their property. The property is a short drive from the centre of town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD to have a quiet and peaceful nights sleep. Thanks Trev and Lynne, hope to see you again soon…

We enjoyed three nights at Trev and Lynne's beautiful home and garden. We were welcomed with afternoon tea and homebaked muffins before we settled into our very comfortable room (most comfortable bed of our NZ trip!). The garden and artwork is inspiring, the pets super friendly and the breakfasts enough to keep you going all day. We really enjoyed getting to know Trev and Lynne, plus their close friends as we joined in with new year's celebrations. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, we used the washing machine and enjoyed the comfort of the lounge room and extensive book collection. We hope to return again to this beautiful part of NZ and the friendly locals!
