We stayed 2 nights in a family apartment, King size bedroom and 2 singles in separate room. Ideal for family of four. Big living area with kitchen area (fridge/microwave in addition to shared kitchen outside of apartment) and separate bathroom. Access out on to Verandah of hotel. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. Didn't hear any noise from others... More

I agree with the previous comments. We had two nights here and it was excellent. We had a beautifully appointed room. The staff were great. The place was great. Don't hesitate. It's outstanding. An oasis in a tough but very rewarding town.

Had 5 nights in Broken Hill, Stayed at the Imperial Fine Accommodation. There were 3 couples so we stayed in their 3 bedroom apartment, excellent! It had 2 bathrooms and easy access to the kitchen to cook your own breakfast with food provided by the hotel (hotel did the washing up which was a plus when you are on holidays).... More

We received a very warm welcome from the Manager - Pauline. She gave us a tour of this gloriously restored old hotel which is luxuriously appointed (see photographs). The rooms are very quiet due to the double-glazed windows; and the full length block-out curtains ensure the sun doesn't wake you early. The bed was comfortable and had an electric blanket... More

I enjoyed my stay immensely. My husband and I had an enormous room that was beautifully decorated with antique furniture. The whole establishment has been restored and there are interesting stories to read about its history and ownership over the years. As a number of reviewers report, it has a sweeping balcony which is a great place to relax with... More

Only been to BH this once but after much research this was the best place to stay at 4.5 stars. Old world charm but all new fittings/decor that work well and and make it enjoyable. No old musty smells etc and it is obvious a lot of love was put into the restoration. We had 2 rooms and both were... More

If you don't enjoy the rigid schedule and forced camaraderie of the typical bed and breakfast, and you are seeking the very best accommodation in Broken Hill - "Australia's accessible outback", then the Imperial is the place for you. Here you can make yourself at home in a huge well appointed room decorated like Grandma's house (without the lace doilies... More

Broken Hill doesn't normally conjure up a vision of relaxed and stylish accommodation but a five night stay at the Imperial certainly changed this perception. 'Cousin Pauline' and Patrick were gracious hosts that catered to a group of friends at our annual reunion. They were there if we needed them, but otherwise left us to the run of the place.... More

Stayed 4 nights as part of a group reunion with 5 other couples. On arrival we were welcomed by a stand in host who did a great job and treated us as if we were family during our stay. The building is heritage listed with very large rooms that have been refurbished to suit the era. It was a great... More

Whilst travelling across the continent from east to west we had looked up some of the better accommodation in Broken Hill and chose the Imperial for 2 nights with the option of 3. We were upgraded to an apartment with a sitting room & 2 bedrooms. Whilst the old style ambience was pleasant there was a communal kitchen where one... More
