I have stayed here a few times now & will keep coming back as it is value for money. Rooms are always clean & tidy with large undercover parking. I do love the idea of the microwave. Makes life Alittle easier at times. It is a walk over the road to The Shamrock if U wish to eat or have... More

As previously said the miners have accom all sewn up and accom houses are riding high on the back, providing very basic but clean accom for extortionate rates $115 for a room you wouldn't pay more than 65 for in a great hostel, sadly they're all the same. And they have the nerve too call it deluxe. Not even a... More

Its hard to find reasonably price accommodation in Mackay, especially during the week. This place is clean and tidy and had well priced meals meals in the restaurant. The managers have a friendly and humorous personality. The drinks are cheap as chips in the restaurant too.

We recently stayed to watch my son play cricket. The room was clean, the pool is a spa pool. The breakfast was cold on arrival to the room. The Shamrock Hotel is located across the road and shops are a short walk away.

Accomodation is expensive and difficult to find in Mackay unless you book well ahead. The room was quite good but showing it's age and parking was undercover. Restaurant meals were basic so we dined in the Motel restaurant next door which was very good. (Accomodation costs twice as much as this motel)

My daughter and I stay here every now and then when my husband has work in Mackay. The owners are lovely, the food in the restaurant is nice. It's definitely not a flash place, but good for a cheap stay. We usually only come for the weekend but this time have been for a week. Not having a kitchen or... More

Totally agree with Lynn H. Had a function across the road at Shamrock and this was the cheapest motel we could find in Mackay. $130 for room without breakfast seems overpriced to me but Mackay Motels have the miners and don't seem to care about tourists. They are old and shabby, especially along Nebo road. Manager had alot of rules... More

Don't think you can find anything cheaper In Mackay. The people running the place try very hard and really are very friendly. Stayed here three times now they are the only hotel that can accommodate a complete stay in the town without having to change hotels. Every room seems to be different, its pot luck what you get some have... More

I chose this place because it was close to the hospital. Though staff were friendly I was shocked at what I paid $110 for. Very dated, tacky furniture and an old 70s style bed. Tiny fuzzy tv(though it was flatscreen) and a tiny room overall. No glasses, knives and forks or other basics. There wasn't even ice in the freezer.... More

It was booked for me by the company I work for, not somewhere of my own choosing. Very old, run down & very outdated... This motel needs knocking down!
