Regular work visits have seen me stay with the National, fantastic meals in the attached pub, and of course meals can be added to your room bill. Breakfast is probably the only downside as it is a pass mark at best, but there is the Beechworth Bakery only a few hundred metres away which is a good alternative.

Very surprised on the quality, presentation of the new apartments. Stay in a LOT of hotels in regional Vic and this is one of the best. Great service and steak in the restaurant. Would definitley re visit....

A great place to have a good value bar meal. The meals are big and well prepared. Good for a lunch with work colleagues. Well frequented by locals, so well frequented that you need to book a table, almost un heard of in a front bar!
