I visited this hotel about 10 years ago when it was one of Melbourne's hippest. It's still pretty cool and I would continue to visit as it's in a great location between St Kilda's two great strips: Fitzroy St and Ackland street and close to the beach and parks etc. The rooms have aged well with the organic choice of... Stayed there one night for a conference. Room was reasonably large and stylish without being over the top. Good bath room and fast WiFi. No problem with noise, despite what other reviews have mentioned, I had room 312, which faces away from the street. Lots of funky bars and restaurants in the area. Breakfast is served in the Mexican Cantina... More

We booked the Suite at The Prince for a special birthday celebration. We had contemplated doing the CBD Hotel thing in Melbourne but opted for a more beach, local approach. With a room rate of $900 per night we had high expectations as that's the same rate as a sub penthouse room at the Crown which are very special rooms. Much... More

Hi There Thank you for taking the time to post a review on TripAdvisor. I agree that this rate seems unusually high - $900 per night or in total? Where you staying during a special events period? We are very mindful to set rates that reflect the product and meet consumer expectations. If you are able to provide me with... More

We stayed at The Prince for a weekend getaway with my sister over the long weekend and wow was it a treat ! Everything was presented so beautifully from the lobby, restaurant and rooms ( small things like beautiful flower arrangements, candles at night time - all make big differences when travelling. Staff were super friendly and helpful giving us... More

My partner and I stayed at the Prince over the Easter long weekend and enjoyed each and everyday. The service prior to arriving was excellent, whether it be a request for a balcony, information about parking or even a last minute request for an extra night we received happy and genuinely helpful service. When we arrived the excellent service continued.... More

Stayed 3 nights (Fri - Mon) & found the noise at night very disturbing. Thought Friday night noise was bad however saturday night was unbearable. We had a 5.30am start Sunday due to triathlon & got very little sleep Saturday night. Noise was still going when we got up. A group of people were running up & down corridor ofour... More

Our room was comfortable although it was a bit small. We did not have any roise from the revellers in the bar; however, wevwere fully aware when the people above us walked around and when they used any water.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights over the Moomba festival long weekend. We found the hotel staff to be very courteous and helpful, and the hotel itself very clean and welcoming with a lovely private ambience. Our deluxe room was spacious enough with the air conditioning doing a great job on a 36 degree day. The room... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in a deluxe room facing onto Acland St (Room 315). The room was small but clean and comfortable, with just a shower and no bath. We were surprised that with all the mod cons there was no ipod dock in the room. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are... More

Our kids purchased a night at the Prince with breakfast incuded. Car parking and meal for around $180. The front desk got us a cab and took us to Circ de soleil in Dudley Street, Docklands. This funky hotel had a great room with all normal facilities. Breakfast was most enjoyable and as we left the 3rd floor carpark we... More
