We have just stayed here, enjoyed our stay but the park could do with a bit of an up grade. We stayed in a tourist flat, basic but for the price it was exellent. But if they were upgraded you would expect to pay more. We had trouble with the shower but the manager bent over backwards to fix it.... More

We stayed in a cabin for one night. It was very basic but clean and comfortable. Also the facilities were clean and the stuff very kind. The price of cabin or kitchen cabin are not expensive. A place where a can stay again…

I used to go here when I was a kid with my family in the 80's and 90's and I absolutely loved it. This weekend I decided to take my 4 and 6 year old there for the weekend and I am happy to report it hasn't changed a bit! It is set in the most beautiful forest with an... More

Nice to have you back, and we are always pleased when the kids have a great time. With the pool games room play areas, stream with swimming holes and the bush, we think there is lots for them to do too. Thank you for taki9ng the time to submit your review. More

We saw the good reviews and had high expectations about this campsite. Showers didn't even get hot enough, no soap by the sinks in the dirty bathrooms. The main reason we stayed at this campsite was to see the butterfly garden but it was a massive letdown as it was more like a butterfly graveyard. When we could find the... More

Really sorry you didn't ejoy your stay. Had you let us know that water heat was down, we could have rectified immediately and hopefully saved other guests a merely warm shower. Accommodation owners rely on our guests to let us know if something is not up to scratch so we can fix it. The Butterfly Garden is a separate business,... More

A great camp site for exploring the Coromandel. Close to Thames and about an hour from Coromandel Town and surfing beaches on the other side of the peninsuala (Whangamata etc). Peaceful, sheltered, lovely site. Amenities simple but absolutely fine. We loved this camp site and would recommend it to anyone - hope to return some day.

This was our first stop on a 10 day camper van trip around North Island and we stayed 2 nights.. The site is set up from the main road (about a km) and is a small to medium size. Peaceful location close to walks etc and a good spot for further exploration into the Coromandel. The amenities are a little... More

Thank you Janice! We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Did your partner notice that the Mens showers have been rebuilt with mixers, individual trays and all new partitions? All the equipment to renovate the Ladies is on hand and will go ahead as soon as busy season slows to let work begin. More

We spent in Dickson Park almost one month as wwoofers and we loved the site. It is a peaceful place few kilometers from Thames surrounded by trees. It is close to an amazing bush walk going through the forest partly along a stream ended up with a waterfall. In the property there is a swiming pool for refreshing during hot... More

We stayed in a kitchen cabin which sleeps 4, it was basic but clean, comfortable & warm. These cabins were past the reception and situated by I'm guessing permanent residents. I would probably only stay here again if there was nowhere else to go. Pros: It is well off the road and quiet, it is close to bush walks, river... More

This was our first experience of a holiday park and camping and having stayed only one night we will definilely try it again. We paid NZ$38 for two people to camp. Our pitch was surrounded on 3 sides by grape bushes and although we initially thought we were close to neighbouring tents and caravans, we certainly had privacy and quiet.... More
